Wick's Café

Based on my dining experience, this is the feedback I want to share. It is my first time trying Iced Mint Mocha. The barista used mint mocha syrup, 1% milk, espresso and some iced cubes. The taste was refreshing. I will come back to try their special drinks. The native English-speaking staff is attentive and made my drink order correct. Today I came back to try their Iced red latte. The taste was good but the non-native English speaking staff cannot understand customers basic orders. It was something I don't like to deal with people who aren't attentive at work. Come experience yourself!

Wick’s Cafe is an extremely cozy and homey spot to enjoy a snack, and watch horrible traffic situations happen. My partner and I came to plan a trip and read, but were constantly distracted and amused by the bad driving at an intersection right outside. If you like to people watch the corner facing the intersection is a great spot to sit. A plus was seeing the local customers communicating with each other! The service was sub par pretty nonchalant and didn’t say hi or anything lol the first day I came here but I came back the next and the service was quite friendly. I recently had the mushroom pesto panini and white mocha, which was a delight, and my friend had a frappe which was nostalgic :-

Wick's may be one of the very few coffeeshops left in Vancouver that serves its surrounding community. I have been going to this wonderful coffeeshop for what seems like a lifetime. when i was younger on Sundays after church services we would stop in and have some lunch. During my high school years I used to cut class and hang out with friends. These days its my favorite spot to have lunch & catch up with my son. Their baked goods are to die for & their breakfast sandwiches are fantastic. The smoothies/FRAPPS are great as well. If you are in the Marpole area make sure you check them out. You wont be disappointed!

I went here for lunch with a group while working nearby and back a few nights later for a tea to go. Really enjoyed the food and drink here; they have some cool stuff. For I got an Avocado and Brie Croissant with Hibiscus Mayo, a Cloud Cheesecake, and a Red Latte. The croissant was nicely flaky and the proportions of filling to croissant were right. The hibiscus mayo sounded a little bit unusual with brie but I was too intrigued not to try it and it was great. They used just enough for the unique floral tartness to come through in every bite. The cloud cheesecake, which uses butterfly pea flower, was also really good! The butterfly pea flower gave it a really subtle underlying floral flavour and the texture was creamy but not heavy. The red latte rooibos espresso was a little stronger than tea-style rooibos lattes but very smooth. I just had a Blueberry Green tea on my next visit which was quite good, don’t remember whose tea they use. I think the prices on everything were fair. The only issue I had was that I got an aloof feeling from the staff, in particular this one barista that was there both times. On my lunch visit, there was enough of a local crowd there that it was a welcoming hang, but when I went to grab a tea in the evening, it was empty save for one group and I kind of felt like I was walking into a club meeting that I hadn’t been invited to.

Love my neighbourhood cafe! Food is always good with new items arriving all the time. The staff are always smiling and friendly. Extended hours are great for people coming home from work!

I absolutely LOVE their hazelnut frappe! I'm always trying to find a reason to drop by here. They have a nice airy space inside and a couple seats outside. Plus free parking for patrons.

NEW Owners have made positive changes to this Marpole java destination. Lovely Fresh baked goods - croissants, muffins etc ..my fave is the almond paste filled croissant, so yummy!! They also offer Paninis and bagel sandwiches, and, of course barrista. It has wifi, and a small patio. Bon Appetite!

Amended rating: under what appears to be new ownership - service, quality, selection has deteriorated rapidly. Been coming here for ages, but not any longer. The cashier rudely refused to sell soup/sandwich at the posted price stating that they have changed the price yesterday but have not changed the tags yet. Nothing but greed, disregard for regular customers. Its a pity that such a great place went downhill so fast.

Breakfast wrap possibly the worst thing I’ve ever been served in a restaurant. Absolutely tasteless - like they’d used powdered eggs. Will never go back.

Awesome place, get the Korean BBQ sandwich it’s literally so good Super nice staff and yummy food.
