Grandmama's Cafe

Visiting Vancouver from out of town, stumbled across this little gem on a stroll through town and was I ever pleased. Quaint little atmosphere. Only intended to stop on for a quick coffee and ended up staying for brunch. The honey glazed chicken and waffles were amazing, 10/10 recommended. Staring at the wide selection of freshly baked goods I had to order desert as well. Had the chocolate cookie dough cake. It was just as good as it looks & the icing layers were nice and decadent. Needless to say if I lived in the area I would be a regular customer.

This place is beautiful, cozy and welcoming. The staff there are so friendly and helpful. No matter you want to have a cup of coffee or a lunch. You may have lot of choices. They keep the shop clean and tidy too. If you are in this area, go to try it.

I found this hidden gem on Instagram, and I’m glad so glad I did! I was looking for a friendly place to eat and this place was just that. From the family friendly customer service, the large menu selection and the beautiful space, I was definitely pleased. My favourite was the breakfast! I’ll definitely be back! Thank you! And ps, there’s free parking at the back. . Thank you to the owner for letting me know. My children saw your act of kindness and that right there went a long way, sir.

What an incredible cafe! I'm so glad I found this gem while searching for a last minute mother's day afternoon tea outing in the Kerrisdale area. My mom got the mushroom soup, which was served with bread on the side, and was absolutely delicious. I got the bruschetta, which was amazing. We both got croissants - also great. For dessert, we shared this incredible mango & passionfruit mousse cake thing? I don't actually know what it's called, but it was sooooo good! And we both got the cardamom tea, which is a house blend, and apparently their best seller - and for very good reason! Absolutely loved it. Also, the tea was served with a little cookie, which is such a nice touch. I did not get to try any of the waffles, or other pastries, or a frappe, or any of their new latte drinks - but I will definitely go back to try one or all of those things, because they all sound so good! Also, super cute interior, with lots of seating, and the bathrooms were very clean! Basically, I loved everything about this place!

Edit: Went back again today and finally got to try Grandmama's Cafe. Everyone there were lovely and welcoming. They made it up to me with a delicious raspberry cheesecake. My friend and I both had the honey glazed chicken toast and I got the matcha latte. It all tastes great. The cake display is so cute and I wanted to try more of their other cakes and pastries. Will have to visit again to try more of their menu! Extremely disappointed. Been wanting to come here for a while but their day-time only hours made it harder to plan. Wanted to celebrate my birthday here today. Called yesterday to confirm that they were open on NYE until 6. I was told they were open 10-6 and that the kitchen didn't even close until 6. We got here at 5 and they were already closed! What a waste of time and gas to come all the way here! Don't tell me you're open 10-6 and already be closed at 5!

I ordered a roast beef sandwich that was absolutely delicious, also a dark Moka which I also loved. The food is amazing, there are a lot of options both salad and sweet. The staff is super friendly and the store is very clean and beautiful. Looking forward to going back.

Super cute cafe off the strip. Desserts are good but that giant croissant is divine. Service is fantastic and the atmosphere is great.

Great hole in the wall cafe right off the main drag in Kerrisdale. They have a hybrid menu of English, Indian with some Portuguese influence - Pasteis de Nata!, and contemporary cuisine. Really enjoyed the English Breakfast, especially that it's all day! Will return next time I'm in town.

Amazing food and even gave us 2 free cake. Most delicious thing I have tasted. 5/5 star. Worth ur money and time!
