Used to come here a lot 10 years ago and the beach was pristine. Now though the grass patch leading and adjacent to the beach is strewn with goose poop. No chance of a picnic. And there is a decent play structure but as the grass next to it has the goose poop you need to keep an eye on kids.

This is a wonderful place to go for a walk or bike or lots of other great activities!

The Beach is finally back open for swimming this season, after years of being closed because of water level issues.Lifeguard hours are limited, so be cautious if you choose to swim.Restroom/ Changing rooms are open during park hours, also there are vending machines with snacks and beverages.Beachside playground , public boat launch , and grills are additional amenities. We were disappointed that the beach was closed for swimming still. There was a team doing some cleaning.
