Love he gorgeous nature over here. There is some really cool trails to check out. While on the trails you will see lots of dragon flies, birds, frogs, flowers, and even turtles. They have a really cool area for kids to play in the water and sand. They also have a garden which was closed when we got there but looks very beautiful from the fence/gate. There also a building to go into which was also closed when we were there so haven't gotten to look inside the building. I have to say though, a very awesome place to be if you enjoy bird watching. We seen a few birds that were so unique and have no idea how to identify them but it was so cool. I am a huge fan of blue birds and there were quite a few of them over around the garden area. Got to see the bright yellow finches and even lots of chipmunks running around. Only spent about an hour and half there but definitely am planning on returning. Just a very nice place to be and next time I really plan to bird watch. So peaceful and very entertaining!!!

I can't recommend this nature area enough. But a few words of warning. If you want your kids to stay within arms' reach of you at all times, this place is not for you. If you want your kids to only play on triple-safety-tested plastic playgrounds, this place is not for you. If you want your kids to always stay dry and clean, this place is not for you. If you want your kids to have their goals presented to them ready-made, this place is not for you. For the rest of us, this place is AWESOME.

Discovery hallow at tamarack nature center is the place to go with little ones! They can wander within easy access for Mom's and Dad's, grandparents too. It's remarkable that Ramsey county taxpayers provide this fabulous play space set in an eco-park area. Little shovels and pails are all that is needed for a great time!

We absolutely love this place for natural, imaginative play. There is a water area, hiking, sticks and stones and logs to jump on, and plenty of honey bees and butterflies to chase. Play area is enclosed by a fence. Inside there were friendly staff, nice bathrooms, and interesting animals to see.

Entertaining outdoor play area with water features, log building area, a hobbit house and gardens. My 6 year old could play here all day. The building has interesting aquarium animals.
