Honest-to-goodness, down-home cooking can still be found in the West...at the Western Cafe in downtown Bozeman! For more than 50 years, the Western Cafe has thrived on Main Street servin' up the best cinnamon rolls and chicken fried steak West of the Mississippi River.

Fans include those that know the 'old' Bozeman, and those that still love the 'new' Bozeman.

Stopped by for brunch. There was about a 15 minute wait. Wonderful place, food was amazing! Had the Best in the West platter. Gravy was so tasty. Staff were friendly, helpful. Service is fast! This is a place you must try!!
Now we know the allure of this place and why there is almost always a wait and this place did not disappoint. We were told the wait was 15 mins and we only waited 10. The inside is between a Cafe and a diner with many local artifacts and game hanging on the walls. We had breakfast and everything was delicious and was served quickly. The staff is very friendly but watch out for Katie, she is a one woman show and made our breakfast fun and gave us a few laughs. If you are in Bozman, this is a must for breakfast.
Another one of those hidden gems for commercial drivers and travelers on I-84 near Baker City, OR. It is located inside the Truck Corral truck stop, so it has plenty of parking after you fuel up or stop for an amazing shower. You'll know the place is good when the locals and regulars are greeted by their first name. The salad bar came with my dinner with a variety of fresh, healthy options. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It's a place I'll recommend to my fellow drivers out on the road.
The bobcat breakfast that comes with the cinnamon roll French toast will change your life. Best French toast you will ever have. I think I would drive across the country just for that French toast. If you pay with cash, you get a 4% discount. It’s such a fast-paced, busy cafe. Love love love it. A staple when you come to Bozeman! Worth it. Also, their sausage patty is SO GOOD.
Looking forward to eating here again. My wife and i enjoy 2 excellent breakfast meals. Service was second to none. Coffee and waters were bought out immediately. Our food was brought out very fast as well. Don’t forget to order “bobcats”.
