West Wind Motel

***I actually thought he might hit me, I couldn't believe it!*** WARNING DO NOT STAY HERE THESE PEOPLE ARE, IN MY OPINION, NOT ONLY THIEVES BUT DANGEROUS AS WELL !!! Although the room was clean and the check in was pleasant with the night manager Ann, the experience this morning when we checked out was inexcusable. When I tried to ask for a late check out, in fact even offered to pay an extra $10 for the 20-30 min I needed, I was met with hostility and threats that my cash deposit would be kept along with physical threats from some guy claiming to be security. I am traveling with my elderly mother who is having mobility issues after a minor fall yesterday. As a result of this she is moving more slowly than usual. This is why I needed the extra time to get packed and out of our room. As I tried to explain all of this, to the day manager Linda, I was told that no other hotels ever allowed late check outs and that I needed to be out by 11:00... in 8 minutes. At this point, frustrated, I asked if she could please be human about this. Apparently that was the absolute wrong thing to say. Realizing that what I had said had sounded rude, I apologized. As I tried to diffuse the escalating situation a large man claiming to be security, possibly Linda's husband or boyfriend, got in my face...within inches of me... and forced me out of the office. I actually thought he might hit me, I couldn't believe it! Fearing that if pushed further, an actual physical alteration would occur, I decided to disengage completely and try to finish packing so we could get out of this motel before anything unfortunate happened. When we were done packing, Linda came and inspected our room and my mom insisted on going into the office to try to reason with Linda and get our deposit back. After admitting that we had left the room "very nice" Linda handed my mom $25, ½ of the deposit, stating that, because it was now 11:20, it was all she could give us. Keep in mind that dealing with this fiasco took up at least 10 of those minutes. To top it all off as my mom was walking out the door the day manager Linda's parting words to her were aggressive and wildly inappropriate. I am contacting the Chamber of Commerce and would be happy to speak to the owners of this establishment. So, if you are someone who is expects courtesy and professionalism from the place where you choose to stop for the night, I would stay a country mile away from this motel.

The room I stayed in was infested with ants and bugs. Management didn't clean my room, they left a note saying I needed to move my personal belongings to one corner of the room so that they could make the bed and clean the floors... Etc (there was only a laptop on the bed) and apparently couldn't even leave me fresh towels or toilet paper because my laptop was on the bed. Too many issues with this pathetic operation to mention. In the end they kept my deposit because they said I was driving too fast through the parking lot... Ann the Asian, also the fat husband and wife white trash hillbilly hicks, that claim to be security and management, all have issues. They did apologize once for their behavior and blamed it on shock their son took his life recently; I tried to sympathize but when it comes right down to it, no doubt I would have taken my life too, if they were my parents. The single star ratings and comments pretty much sum up this dump of a so called business..

Dear owner of westwinds I hope you know I have contacted a lawyer about what happened and I am sueing you your staff is rude and it's not illegal to posses a weed pipe and it's illegal to kick someone out for having one when no one smoked in the room so please keep a lookout for the paper work that you will be served with unless you would like to make this right I'll drop the lawsuit contact me with your answer

Haven't stayed at this motel, but after reading the reviews, from the many 1 star to the few 5 star, it sounds like this place is an absolute dump. I believe the 5 star reviews are phony, probarly written by the crooked hotel management. And this motel is well known to the local police dept.

The owners are out to get thier greedy thieving hands on honest hard working people's money. They go into your room in the middle of the night while you are at work. These people took $1033 from someone who works hard everyday. he was staying there for the month because he had nowhere else to go at the time they went into his room while he was at work in the middle of the night and seen a weed bong in his room and this guy I know for a fact never used or smoked anything there in his room he would go for a long walk and smoke weed but they kicked him out he came home or came back at 4 in the morning after he gotten off work to see a note on his door saying do not try to enter the premises and to come back for a stuff at 11 a.m. the next day after working a full shift at work and come home to a lock door because of his weed bong. He paid $1,033 and was able to stay there for about a week that's really helping our public these people are really helping those those that are trying to work hard and get back on their feet these people do not want your business they want your money and they do not want to help you
