Wardrobe Cleaners

I brought 5 pair of black work slacks to be dry cleaned. These are pricey slacks, about $80 a pair, and are dry clean only. I told them I did not want creases in my pants. The pants aren't really even supposed to be ironed and the care label even says "cool iron reverse side only". Picked the pants up and EVERY SINGLE PAIR has creases ironed in. One pair has about 4 different creases ironed in..I wish I was joking. Not only that, but I can tell that the pants were ironed on a high setting on the outside of the pants. The fibers are delicate and were melted by the high heat of the iron and now look shiny instead of matte. $400 worth of pants ruined and I had to pay them $33 to do it. The receipt on the attached bag covering the dry cleaned items clearly says NO CREASES. It is also obvious that the fabric care instructions were not read. These pants are less than 2 months old and are the only pants I have for work. It's to put into words the level of disappointment and anger I am feeling right now.

Took a bedspread in to be cleaned for the first time. It had some spots that needed to be cared for before laundering. The bedspread was marked "do not dry clean." The spots were pointed out specifically to the attendant that received the bedspread. It was indicated that they would take of it. No warnings were given that they could not or would remove the spots and or were not able to adequately clean the item. Picked the item after cleaning. Discovered the spots were not treated and were still there. After laundering and drying the spots are now permanently set into the bedspread. And this was an expensive item purchased at the Pendleton home store. When confronted, the staff said they could not spot a large item like a bedspread. They just threw it into the washer and used customary detergent to wash the bedspread. If they had said this when the item was left to be cleaned, we would have gone some place else but would have appreciated the information and honesty. When asked how they clean tablecloths which they advertise for rent. The reply was that they bleach tablecloths. Certainly they would not do this with black or blue tablecloths.
