Went in to the store today to get a razor to match the blades I had mistakenly purchased. Luckily Bev was there and with her knowledge and patience she located the right one and always with a smile. Wasn’t easy as I had nothing to reference what brand of blade it was but she diligently kept at it. Thanks for the great service Bev!
So I had one of the worst experiences at Walmart Canada today and I have lived here since before Walmart was here and have shopped there since they opened in cold lake. I was there with my 3 kiddos grabbing stuff for them but also for our upcoming sport event. My 8 year old was scanning things and i was also. Well the lady at self check out came and accused her of not scanning things. I have been watching her as I scan also I said no everything that she has had been scanned thank you. She then walked away. I paid and started my second bill. She then walked over form a few feet away and said did you scan that one. I said yes you were standing right there. I had picked it up scanned it as my son was fussing for it and then gave it back. I said if I wanted to steal things I would find a way. But I don’t. I am a honest person and go to this store many times a month and sometimes a few times a week. I went to customer service and complained. To which I had the customer cashier manager lady whatever her title was I didn’t look to closely ask I was trying to make a point. I told her this is unacceptable and to accuse a 8 year old of not scanning something basically trying to steal and then accuse me was not ok. There are ways to come about it and check on the screen instead of accusing. This manger then told me it is her job to watch you scan everything. I said well then you need more workers. Or how about you get rid of self check out and hire more cashiers so you can no longer try to accuse someone of stealing. Or have more people standing watching cause she can’t watch 8 tills alone all at once. I was then told I was wrong. And They wouldn’t even check my bags. I said I spend thousands a year here for clothing, food, toys and the most is groceries. Then the lady accusing us checked the till and there are cameras so really why would anyone steal right there. I stood and watched her. Not once did she offer a apology to my daughter or myself for falsely accusing. I will not be shopping or using self check out at Walmart again. Get more staff so we as shoppers can stop doing your jobs and be accused of stuff.
Large store well stocked and appeared to be quite clean including the washrooms, I'm not a huge fan of the change over to the automated teller I still like to chat with people while I'm making my purchases, less employees less jobs !! Just wish that the staff using the intercom would turn their voices down , some people are sensitive to loud noises like myself? don't need to yell like your calling someone across town , still a good store and a stable in every community!!
40 people in line and they have two tills and two self checkouts open. Loved waiting in line for half hour to pay for my four items.
Competitive prices. Polite and courteous staff. Too many items without price tags and no code reader like they used to have.
great place to shop,i even applied here.shelves r almost always outta something and i thought i could help change that.i either have too many tattoos and/or am not the right kinda brown or something but my application was deniedstill disappointed about your guys decision not to hire me.
Go to Rob & Kathy’s NoFrills instead. They have better prices and at least they have bags. When shopping at this Walmart, I had to carry all my groceries in my arms to my car. I’m pregnant, I can’t be doing things like that.
Got searched 3 times once at the self checkout then at the door and afterwards the customer service lady just had to see my receipt even after the their door lady checked everything over, seems kinda racist as white folks do not get the same kind of treatment...
I did not remember just how big the super center was. I'm sure it had everything I will ever need. And ofcourse the cheapest Diabetic test strips in all Canada. I was disappointed with the greeter, who looked bored and said hello almost as an afterthought! Oh well can't win 'em all.
Love to visit again and again.. great services and staff.
