This is a well organized and friendly store. On a plus note, I've managed to grab some nice clearouts over the years. High-end ping pong table, and this nice basketball net. Always worth looking through for excellent deals.
A few days ago my neighbor bought a package of steak and brought it to my house to ask me if I thought it looked good. However it was covered in brown spots which is a sign of it going off and they told me they bought it at Walmart. Today I went to Walmart to do some grocery shopping and was curious so I looked at the steaks only to find that they too had all the brown spots all over them and that they were showing signs of going off before the best before date. Really need to be mindful of quality control here!
Went to this location today. Usually we have no issues as we have always purchased something when visiting. Well today we were in the area and thought we would pop in quickly but decided to not buy anything and to just go home. I had my two year old daughter, husband and my husbands service dog with us! As my husband suffers from extreme anxiety. Well. We get to the front of the store. And had approached some young guys who works there. And was asking for them to open the gate so we can leave as they can see we did not purchase anything. All of a sudden this older gentleman named John who is a people’s greeter on the food side comes over. He was discriminatory towards my husbands service dog and said he couldn’t open the gate because he doesn’t have a key. The gate does not require a key argumentative with my husband while I was filming everything. He says, “I didn’t see your service dog.” As they’re suppose to open the gate for anyone with disabilities. HOW CAN YOU NOT SEE A DOG WHOS FULLY VESTED STANDING THERE!!! His excuse was . WELL a lot of people bring in animals! This is unacceptable towards people who have disabilities!!!! A older female manager came over and told him to OPEN THE GATE for us! He did so with ATTITUDE and OH WAIT! NO KEY NEEDED!!!!! Go support a different Walmart!
Don’t understand how a company that has self check out closes half of them at 7pm and only has 2 cashiers available. There were at least 20+ people in Line for self checkout and probably the same for the 2 open cashiers. Wow now that is customer service at it best. First. Hey checkout your own groceries. Saves them employee cost. Then shut down the self checkouts. Hmm. Smart business decision? NOT
A great place to shop and staff always go above and beyond. A special shout out to Adam at the grocery pick up! He is always so helpful and friendly. I really appreciate all his hard work and always giving the best customer service. Thank you Adam!
I would like to recognize the young Man who assisted me in the Photo Dept today. Sorry I do not remember his name but he took my Passport pictures. He was very pleasant and helpful. A pleasure to do business with.
Great Staff Nov.21 me and my husband went for grocery shopping and unfortunately my husband lost his chain w/ pendant, we tried to look around but no luck so we decided to report to the customer service…that night we lost hope already to get it back my husband’s necklace..but today Nov22, Bowmanville Walmart Staff called us back that one of the Staff found my husband’s necklace.!!! My husband tried to leave a little something for the Staff but they refused.. Thank you so much Great Great Customer Service Bowmanville Walmart Staff
I've never seen staff that were so indifferent to their customers. I was trying to buy children Advil for my sick son. They now keep it behind the counter due to the current shortage. There were 3 staff behind the counter, all were on computers and not one of them would even look up. After patiently waiting for over 5 minutes, the customer in front of me interrupted one worker and asked for some help. The worker directed her to the other end of the counter where a new line had formed and now she was at the back of it after already waiting. I patiently waited another few minutes at the same spot until I asked the worker if she could please pass me a bottle of children's advil that was in plain sight directly behind her and was within her reach. She said no problem but you'll have to go to the other end of the counter and wait in line. I looked at the line and there were now 5 people in it and still there was still no one helping any of them. All three workers continued just working on their computers with complete disregard for any of the customers in line. I ended up tossing the rest of my items on the counter and left the store angry. I drove across town to Shoppers drugmart and found the staff there very helpful and I got what I needed right away. I will never set foot in a Walmart again.
Always an adventure in shopping . You will especially enjoy the meat department's ingenuity in hiding the brown spots , grissle, bone fragments and fat especially in $$ steak$$ .
I don't give many 1 stars reviews but the experience here changed my mind . As I walked in a young man walked in ahead of me not wearing a mask. I asked the person at the door who was seated. Don't you remind them or give them a mask ? Maybe he forgot it.She didn't seem to care and had the attitude I"m not getting up, I don't think she wanted to get up and even try . So Disappointing Walmart , maybe you could can have some people at the door who understand Co-Vid Protocols and can physically move . I didn't shop here and won't return.
