These doctors and nurses have helped me so much. After being in 2 motor vehicle accidents hit by other people within 7 months apart, last one being causing this concussion which has lasted just about a year now so far of healing. Both Dr. Spring and Dr. Lombard sorry if I just made spelling mistakes, have been hugely empathetic and supportive. They listen closely and share supportive information and feedback. I feel like the warmth and kindness is felt and has made me feel supported hugely through these challenging times. These guys are so busy and work long hours, I'm very impressed with the patience both doctors have. - Thank you!
Update: Due to my negative review, Dr Spring made an appointment with me just to tell me I could never see her again, get mad at me, emotionally abuse me, in a very unprofessional manner, and she undermined the seriousness and duration of my lung infection just because she didn’t want to accept she was wrong. But she overlooked more than just the fact I had a lung infection for 3 months. She also overlooked my vitamin deficiencies and prediabetes that other doctors ended up finding, meanwhile she just brushed off all my concerns as anxiety. Yes I understand she might be upset about my review, but if she was a good doctor she could have behaved in a professional manner, apologized and tried to make it up to me but instead she decided to show her true colours and leave me in tears after the appointment. She also said she could never trust me again, like really? I’m you’re patient, I have literally been suffering for months, I’m supposed to be trusting you. My symptoms have been so severe I couldn’t even walk some days! Original review: Dr Spring completely overlooked something serious in my test results! That is extreme negligence on her part. Is it just because she was in a rush and didn’t take the time to see it, or is she just unlnowledgable - I don’t know. But she didn’t have any knowledge of my conditions. She also had ridiculous false judgements about how she believed those conditions could never effect someone like me. On more than one occasion she brushed aside my health concerns, blamed them on anxiety and refused to test me for things I suspected and I ended up being right. She should know by now that patients know their bodies better than she does. If she had listened to me and tested me accordingly I wouldn’t have had to suffer for months in such severe agony. I know it’s ridiculous to find a good doctor these days. But just in case you’re wondering she’s not one of them, she really let me down and did the exact opposite of help me. The same thing happened to my friend, when i brought him in because he was having concerning head pains and going crazy, she just blamed it on mental illness and refused to refer him for an MRI. I had to be very persistent and aggressive to get her to agree to get him an MRI!!!!! Which is so aweful because I was right and he ended up having a brain tumour!!!! For some reason she doesn’t take many symptoms seriously enough and she refuses to rule out serious causes first before diagnosing people with mental illness. In both cases she was so wrong.
Receptionist was awful rude. Kept cutting me off since she wasn't listening to what I told her the first time she had to ask me questions that I had already answered Horrible experience. To bad it is the only reliable walk in clinic in the area.
We showed up an hour before 9am opening time and were the first in line ~ it is now twenty past 9 and nobody is in the clinic. There is a schedule for January posted on the door, but zero information about the clinic being closed today. Highly unprofessional and disrespectful for the many people who wasted their time lining up here instead of trying to get medical help elsewhere.
I was very impressed with my whole experience at this clinic. The receptionist/office manager/medical assistant was an absolute star. She was so efficient in coordinating all the patients, phone calls, paperwork, and so on. She did it with enthusiasm and genuine friendliness. I haven't ever seen this role performed better than she did. I was equally impressed with Doctor Megan Spring. She was kind, calm, and sensitive to my situation. She asked great questions, genuinely listened, gave me the facts and her opinions, and set me up with solid next steps. Thank you!
Website says open until 6pm, phoned to double check and got an automated message saying that they are open. Drove out but they closed at 3pm and had a piece of paper on the door with opening hours changed for all of January. Might want to post that on your website or something so no one else wastes their time.
My partner waited for over an hour on Sunday morning assuming the hours of operation on your website, Google listing, AND voicemail were correct. Guest what? They weren’t. PLEASE change your hours to reflect when you’re actually open so people can take back a Sunday morning instead of waiting and standing in a Walmart lobby in pain.
Wonderful staff and a great Doctor.I was able to book an appointment and Dr Silcox addressed my issues in a kind and gracious manner.Would highly recommend the clinic
This is a terrific clinic. As one of the thousands of people on Vancouver Island who do not have a family physician, I use it regularly. The front end staff are friendly and accommodating. I have seen both Dr Spring and Dr Lombard, and find them knowledgeable and both have great bedside manners. I only wish I could find a family physician that I like as well as these two.
I worked at this clinic for almost 2 years. Ive met some super awesome people in that time, and worked with the best Co workers and Drs. If it would let me rate my time being here to be more than a 5 star I would. Sure going to miss working with all of you. Going to miss the patients too. You all keep on keeping on!
