Location of the hotel was fantastic. Close to a lot of amenities. Staff was nice and cordial. Room designs are interesting. If you turn on the light in the washroom area it illuminates a lot of the sleeping area because of the design of the room. The rooms are modern and clean. The blackout blinds were great. Shower also had great water pressure. The breakfast deals require you to microwave the food for a hot meal. No microwaves in the rooms, but there is one in the food area in the lobby.
The hotel is great, the staff are friendly and the parking is pretty decent. It's close to Wonderland and the mall, so what's not to like? The room itself is pretty decent as well, and all the items are easy to find. Why the 1 star reviews? I have no idea! But couples beware, if you come to a hotel to god forbid enjoy your self. A Karen might complain and trouble the amazing desk staff with a silly complaint. It made our night though on the night of our engagement, so thanks, Karen! And thank you, Marriott, for a great stay as always! We'll be back for sure! Titanium member elite, here we come!
First trip to Canada in a while and needed to stay in the area for work. Not a ton of hotel options but chose the aloft for price, convenience, and hopefully a hip factor. Located about 25 min from Toronto Airport next to a huge shopping mall, the hotel is easily accessible with plenty of free parking. Decent size lobby, with a nice snack and drink selection if you're in dire need of sustenance though be prepared to pay hotel prices. Check-in process was quick and efficient, and front desk staff were very friendly. Rooms themselves were typical aloft fare. Not the largest of rooms, small closet /bathroom, but at least outlets were in the right places and TV was working well. Internet had no issue. Gym was decent size and got the job done. Small size pool but seemed ok, never went in. Overall a comfortable stay but nothing exciting.
Wedding planner fraudulent booked a room here and this hotel would not honor a refund. The manager I spoke with had horrible customer service skills, zero empathy, and kept talking about "lost revenue " for the corporation instead of doing what's right and offering an alternative solution. This shows the leadership training offered by this organization is not customer focused. Don't be surprised if they cut corners on cleanliness or if you have some complaints about your stay, don't expect them to do anything about it to help you.
Reading through the reviews, most of the negative ones seem to be of the more entitled little b$#&hs type of reviews. Fact of the matter is, this place is great. One of the cleaner, more comfortable places I've ever stayed at. To the person who complained that there was no ironing board, you just couldn't find it. Maybe look a little harder next time.
This was by far the absolute worst hotel experience I’ve had in my life ! We were with our children and woken up at 4am by the front desk night person Priscilla and told to vacate the property with children ! There was some noise from rooms all around us and she decided it was our room and had the police come . The officer even told her he heard no noise from our room and she was being irrational! She then proceeded to tell us it wasn’t her problem and to sleep in the car ! Excuse me ? I’m in bed with children sleeping . The officer then proceed to try and convince her to change her mind as we weren’t being a problem She said it’s fine we can stay at an addition $250 a night per room we had 2 $1000 extra for nonsense . I tried to speak with front desk manager Quang Nguyen who was zero help and refused to listen to us . Avoid this hotel at all costs !
Music started blaring in the room above or below me at 2:45 in the morning. I called the front desk and was told it would be dealt with promptly. I called again at 3:15 and was told they had been too busy to check, but that they would get to it. Called again at 3:45 and was told that they couldn't find the source. I responded, "Well, I guess I won't be getting much sleep tonight." To which she responded, "I guess not." and hung up the phone. When I told the front desk about it at checkout, I was greeted with complete indifference. Good to be a Gold Elite member at Marriott Bonvoy.
First impressions at this hotel weren’t great, honestly. Check-in went by very tensely, the man working was very abrasive and blunt from the very beginning. Made my group quite anxious, despite being able to check-in without too much trouble. The room was pretty nice, though the layout was a bit weird. Very nice and clean, lots of table space for our luggage. The bathroom was a bit difficult; the door is a sliding door with no lock, and didn’t actually close all the way. Aside from those few things though, we had a phenomenal stay here. The hotel itself is very beautiful and modern, and has a very artsy look to it that we enjoyed. Alongside that, the rest of the front desk staff were delightful. Two particular members of staff- Chantrea and Amir- Were so accommodative and kind throughout our trip, so I thought I’d give them a special thanks for making our trip so comfortable. Chantrea was especially kind, reassuring me and easing my anxiety the morning after our first night, helping us store our luggage for our last day after checkout, and overall just being a total sweetheart. Overall a very nice place to stay if you’re looking to go shopping, drinking and overall just have a beautiful and relaxing stay in vaughan.
I have to say thr rooms are pleasant but using the washroom in thr middle of the night is terrible because of the lights turning on and waking up everyone. Also their is no sink in the bathroom itself therfore when you step out of the stall and wash your hands again the entire room will hear you. Not a very smart lay out for those reasons alone. Other than that rooms are modern and cute. But small and not enough storage space. The only place to lay luggage is on a bench and to hang clothes is quite small. Its great for a one night 2 night stay. But longer id recommend another hotel. Customer service is astounding!
