Had a great experience at Escondido, the tequila tasting room at vivir. Perfect experience for my family members who love tequila. Todd was amazing! Super knowledgeable, and laid back. He even went out of his way to do the tasting for us outside of the typical tasting schedule. Complimentary chocolate and tequila infusion was a nice touch to end the night as well. Would highly recommend the tequila tasting to anyone who wants to have a fun time trying out and learning about different spirits. There isn’t really anything else like this in the area. Five stars!!
Had the breakfast burrito with chicken tinga. This did not disappoint! Also ordered the guava roll and it was tasty. The cream cheese was not too sweet which made it enjoyable. The lavender latte was bomb.
Friendly knowledgeable customer focused staff!! We sat at the bar so all our food questions were answered by enthusiastic servers. Top knotch attention. It was lovely. Terrific selection of food for all diets! Hard to choose just one so we shared. The lemon salad and both empanadas were delicious. So was the burrito with egg and breakfast tacos.. and the beans with cheese… We will be back!
Wonderful atmosphere, they have non pork options, breakfast all day, I had a burrito with eggs added, it was wonderful and fresh, also had the spicy hot chocolate, it was good left a nice sting behind. Lastly I had a lavender latte it was also great. Looking forward to going back and trying the breakfast tacos for my self.
This was such a fun place to visit. I have so much to share about it! The atmosphere was comfortable and fun. I'll get to the food shortly lol. I Loved the decor! There is a hot sauce wall. You can purchase just about anything you can imagine in hot sauce! They also sell mortar and pestle, beautiful stoneware, bags, candles, earrings, coffee mugs, cards, and so much more. This is a great spot to find interesting and unique gifts for others or for yourself. Then they have this beautiful room in the back called Escondido meaning hidden! Check out the website for more info. The staff were friendly and genuine. And....the food! I had the Chicken Tinga taco and the barbacoa taco- both were so fresh and the meat so juicy We also had chips fresh and warm and a trio of sauces all were great but the tomatillo based one was my fav , and yuca fries- my first time having them and they were very good! I will definitely be going back to try the sweet side: cakes tres Leche, sweet empanadas, cookies, and so much more. If you haven't tried Centro/Vivir - hurry up and go! It is an event
Get the Duck Carnitas Tacos, Octopus Tacos, Empanadas, or the Chorizo Breakfast Tacos. The cocktails are pretty tasty too! Be sure to check out the Mescal / Tequila tasting room in the back appointment required and browse the fun items from the shop.
Another hit from the Centro team. Nice twist to throw in the breakfast items. Breakfast tacos were excellent. Well seasoned and the bacon was crisped perfectly. Easy in out with counter service. Staff is very friendly and brings the food to your table.
Stopped in for lunch during the week in February. Not too busy and was able to get seated right away. We started off with some house margs which were very good but not massive like you get in some places. For an appetizer we order the queso which was very good and authentic. We both ordered the two tacos lunch Lamb, Fish, Carnitas & Chicken. All were very flavorful and the legit street tacos you'd expect. All in all it was a good experience with a few side notes. Street parking can be hard to come by, this place is popular and will be busy during peak hours, and because it's trendy it's a little on the spendy side for what you get.
A place where is more than delicious food, drinks and desserts with a very friendly costumer service. You must try the mole chocolate cupcake it's very tasty.
Got the breakfast tacos, on tasty corn housemade tortillas, fairly priced, added the yucca fries that are seasoned well and come with an awesome cilantro sauce. Very cute ambiance and small gift shop attached. All their desserts looked awesome so will try those next time.
