Mary Ellen’s is a regular spot for me and my husband. It’s the perfect little coffee, sandwich, and chill weekend brunch spot. We love that you can easily order ahead online, the food is always fresh, and the service is excellent. They also update the menu frequently with seasonal items which keeps it interesting.
This place is adorable!! A whole food menu + delicious coffee shop coffee options. They had seasonal food and coffee options which was quite delightful. The breakfast was super yummy and my mocha was to die for! Very cute indoors, not a ton of seating options though so be aware of that!
Super cute breakfast place. They were super busy but the servers did a good job!!! : they have an interesting menu with coffee drinks and love to come back.
Cute spot. Good coffee. Affordable breakfast sandwiches. Great place to stop to pickup a bite and bring down to the park to enjoy. Croissants not made here. The egg sandwich was very large. Didn't care for the sausage - it was a cut up link and not a patty. Breakfast biscuit sandwich was good but could have used a little more flavor.
I have been to this restaurant previously and had a better experience. This time I have to place my order through the phone. The waitress acted like a robot and was a bit rude when I asked her about this. I ordered the breakfast biscuit, it was clearly premade from a package and doughy in the middle. I'll be finding a new place for breakfast in NE.
I used to be a regular, sad what happened to this place. Feels like it was the beginning of the end when they shrank their menu significantly and removed most of the actually good items that also made them unique. Since then, the food quality keeps dropping while the food also keeps getting more and more expensive for smaller portions. I used to recommend this place to others as one of my favorites, but I simply cannot do that anymore. If you eat here now, you'll get incredibly ripped off while being served half-seasoned, half-cold, lazily prepared basic breakfast items that you can easily make at home. If you want an actual, tasty, breakfast for a much better price, you'll have to go to Ideal Diner instead. Otherwise if you believe in overpaying and wasting money just because a restaurant has "cute" decor, I suppose the new Mary Ellen's is the place for you. So incredibly sad what Mary Ellen's has become.
DELICIOUS! A great breakfast, a relaxing atmosphere, and friendly staff. It's in a great neighborhood with random art and shops.
I wasn't very impressed with breakfast here. It took a long time to even get my coffee, and longer to get food that clearly had cooled off a little.
I loved this place. All the food was juicy and filling but felt light. I had PB latte and it was so good, not too sweet. I can’t wait to go back.
Cute little brunch joint in NE Minneapolis, good service, clean, great coffee and food
