Its been awhile since i posted about how good this clinic is. When you have an urgent need they can accommodate and find a spot for you. My Dr is fantastic. She is great at explaining stuff to me and really helps me keep on top of ongoing issues I have to monitor with scans etc. The admin staff are amazing and are always so patient on the phone which is much appreciated. Best doctors office I've experienced in my fairly long life.
Dr. King is a kind and patient doctor. The clinic is super clean. The wait times are pretty doctor office normal. The front desk has always been very professionally run in my instance. I have been a very difficult patient I think with my issue , a hernia mesh gone wrong , with all the complications and me being out of my mind with pain I was very glad to have a place to help me find a way to deal with this problem with kindness and respect. Thanks to all of them there. The one star off is because I wish the computer service was free. Can't have everything
This clinic used to be amazing years ago but it has gone down hill - the receptionists are so incompetent and rude, they are condescending and can't even answer a question. The doctors have way too many patients. My doctor left and she was amazing and I was given another doctor who quit 24 hours later and then I was left hanging with no doctor - when I called them to follow up they were SO rude and told me basically I took too long because I didn't have any ailments thank God to follow up so that I was no longer a patient there - really useless health care. I am now going to a private clinic where I pay a fee per year and the healthcare is like nothing I have ever experienced before - doctors who care, competent staff etc.
My young son and I have been going to see Dr. King since he was born instead of seeing a paediatrician. Dr. King is always helpful and knowledgeable and has helped us through many illnesses over the years. Recently I've been seeing the Nurse Practitioner Natalie for some things and she is an absolute gem. Never makes me feel rushed and investigates everything thoroughly. I appreciate their dedication so much.
Both the Doctors and the administration staff Liz!! have been very helpful and understanding with me. I really appreciate the care they have offered me, and would highly recommend the Village Family Health Team!
GREAT MORNING TO HONERABLE: HR / ED / MANAGER It's unjustifiable if you reject a candidate based on incomplete references. Candidate must provide with contact and email of appropriate parties but if they don't reply for XYZ reasons it's not candidates fault. I get requests to provide references too but sometimes I get so busy that I forget to reply back. It doesn't mean a candidate is at fault. The best you could do is to allot enough time for appropriate parties to reply back. Ever thought the other way round that what if a supervisor doesn't want to give reference. Does this mean the candidate does not qualify for job? Really? Of course its ur company and ur rules but never forget that your one decision / one word / a small action is enough to ruin someone's day. Many companies have decided that they get no direct benefit by giving references as they take on risk of lawsuit, and it costs them money – so it's just not worth it. Moreover, ever considered the damage it may cause to an employee? A correctly literate HR will know. A sensible person will understand the importance of above mentioned. If you don't wanna follow my advice, your wish but sometimes it's always nice to introspect. It helps to make world a happy place. ************. I am not against your decision it's just an opinion and suggestion. ******** Have a blissful day ahead. Best regards Madhur Sharma
Excellent doctors and location. Communication with the office is not that easy. You can not get somebody on the phone 4 out of 5 times.
I'm quite shocked at the bad reviews because I absolutely love Village Family Health and my doctor, Dr. Hicks. She is super thoughtful, caring, personable and always makes me feel heard. I've only ever had positive and friendly experiences with the clinic/staff and they're incredibly thorough when there's any follow-ups, new information, etc. Also love the Avocare feature, the app/platform Village Health uses. Makes everything streamlined and efficient. Very happy with my experience here and would definitely recommend!
I've been going to this clinic for years. I really like my doctor. I've given it 4 stars because on a few occasions I've been caught off guard by the comments that receptionists have made. On one occasion I was late for my appointment which was due to a terrible snow blizzard. The receptionist just had to point out I was late, adding insult to injury. I'm sure she was aware of the weather conditions. On days like that, be grateful I didn't call last minute to cancel. The latest annoyance happened when I held up my health card and the receptionist told me I had lost A LOT of weight since that photo was taken. First of all, I don't take it as a compliment when someone points out my weight, and the most I might have lost was 5 - 10 pounds. I've always been petite so I really don't get what about my face looked so different. What's worse is that I was wearing a mask and my hair was down, so how could she really tell? Please advise your receptionists to keep comments to themselves especially about appearance, especially when they're visiting the doctor. If I had lost so much weight it could have been health related; thank goodness in my case it's not, but that is not a good comment to bounce back from. Please be mindful of your words.
I have had great experiences here with my doctor, the nurses and reception. All of the medical staff have been amazing - taking the time to listen to my concerns, answer my questions and follow up appropriately. They have also kept me updated when necessary about Canada/Ontario's changes in recommendations think timelines for check-ups, that sort of thing. which has been very helpful and time saving. I've never waited more than 10 minutes past my appointment time. The office space is always very clean. There is a pharmacy on site, which also has a very helpful pharmacist. Great clinic. :
