I was able to get an appointment quickly, the hygienist and dentist were both very friendly! Also nice view of the water from the chair : they do tend to start your appointment around 5-10 minutes after it's scheduled. They ask for consent before using products in your mouth which was very appreciated! The text reminders before your appointment are helpful too!
In my visits I found the team to overall lack communication and transparency. When initial quotes were inconsistent with final bills there was a lack of patience and communication from admin despite my curiosity. I had intended to receive a filling for my front tooth and without any consent or discussion with the dentist, he simply filed both of them down, only filling a small portion. I was distressed throughout the whole procedure, worried about losing further enamel and did not feel supported. I do not plan to return.
Amazing staff, so friendly. Got my cleaning done there and the hygienist was so gental way to go Rachel. Central location makes it easy to get to. Totally Recommend These guys
Quality care. The staff are friendly, helpful and forgiving - they allow you the time and space to make decisions and try to help you to work out financing the work they do on your teeth. I have been a patient of Dr. Bruce Tranter and the dental hygienists for just over a year. I have found them to be good listeners and to provide good advice and to do good work on my teeth. The only reason I am giving 4 stars and not 5 is because the Clinic tacks on amounts over and above what my insurance is willing to cover - every visit. Having said this, I don't know how common this practice is in Victoria. Perhaps it is because of the higher cost of living here? Maybe dentists in Victoria need to charge more in order to have the same standard of living as other dentists across the province..?
I have been a patient here for a few years now. I feel very comfortable at this dental office. Dr. Tranter performed my wisdom teeth removal and he made me feel very comfortable, it was a very successful extraction. They are very open and honest with pros and cons of everything which I respect. I just wanted to comment on my hygienist today Melissa. She was so incredibly gentle and skilled with her tools. One of the best cleanings I have ever had. Thank you Vic West Dental
Views were beautiful and experience was top class! Appointments were easily available and with a flexible schedule too. Highly recommend for anyone scared of the dentist or looking for a good view while away for an appointment :
Dana was very patient and gentle whilst cleaning my teeth. She was also meticulous.
Sat in a chair for 20 minutes only to find out after it was too late that they were going to charge me $125 for it. This should have been told to me before sitting down in the chair. Absolutely no one tried to process my insurance while I sat in the waiting room for 20 minutes before my exam when we would have found out that I wasn’t covered for the exam. Obviously, that’s intentional.
Prompt and professional service. My least favourite part is always the needle to freeze my mouth but Michael is admirably gentle in that regard.
Really friendly staff. They sorted my insurance for me right than and there. They do direct billing. Very helpful staff. I had no anxiety during my cleaning and check up. Dental hygienist explained everything as she went. Very happy with my move to this new dentist. ALSO easy access to parking. No hassle at all.
