Kind, caring and competent staff, wonderful prices, great atmosphere. Such a caring staff out at Verona Animal Hospital! About 2-3 years ago I took my two male kittens to get their vaccinations, and then later neuteredThey even gave us a discount for having both cats cared for at the same time, and our kitties were up on their feet in no time. No scars, no complications, and they got lots of treats during the visits! Besides the drive, the had a wonderful experience, and as a first time pet owner, so did I. I now have another kitten, this time female, who will be taken care of at the VAH!
I've had all 3 of my female cats spayed here and the doctor was very caring with my pets and did an excellent job with the spays. No complications, and you can't even see their scars. Not to mention they beat the price of any other clinic hands down. I would definitely recommend them to any pet owners!
I drive in from Ottawa, because of the service and heartfelt care provided at the Verona Animal Hospital. I have never had a bad visit in the 8 years we have been going. The staff is always patient and more than happy to answer any questions I have in person and over the phone. They're also willing to go out of their way to accommodate my distance from the clinic shipping prescription refills etc. Moreover, Dr. Carver is a wonderful person who truly loves what she does, and treats every patient like her own. She is incredibly knowledgable and takes the least invasive treatment route whenever possible. She has a fantastic 'bedside manner' and gets at the dogs' level for check ups, rather than putting them up on the table and making them nervous. My whole family adores her people and pets. I trust the Verona Animal Hospital, without a doubt, to keep my dog healthy and happy.
Our dog had previously been going to another vet who prescribed a special diet and some daily medicine for our small dog with bladder stones. I was unsure of the diagnosis so I went to Verona Animal Hospital for another opinion. They corrected the previous diagnosis and recommended immediate surgery. The surgery was performed with a great amount of attention to detail. Our dog also needed a blood transfusion afterwards, and the staff were VERY attentive to our dog's needs during this process. Every member of the staff team is extremely compassionate, intelligent and attentive to pets' needs. They put a GREAT amount of effort into making sure that my dog was cared for like it was their own. I am absolutely blown away by the work of the Verona Animal Hospital and I would greatly recommend them to anyone with pet needs. If that wasn't enough, their prices were better than anyone else we talked to. I called several times over a few days and everyone I talked to was extremely polite and kind. Couldn't be more impressed with their work, especially that of Dr. Nilo.
I have always had amazing service at this vet. Oh all my 20+yrs of owning a cat I have never met one as the gurls at the clinic. Caring not only for ur pet but for client as well. Always gental with the pets. And truely animals people. Its not about the money for them. It's about making our pets healthy. And Thank god for the dr tonight for coming in after hrs for my baby Peaches. You guys r amazing.
PLEASE READ: We have been taking our animals to Verona Animal Hospital for over 10 years. Recently our dog needed to have a lump on his hind leg removed, and within a few days all of the stitches and staples fell out. We brought him back to have it redone, for an astronomical charge of course, and again all of the staples and stitches fell out within a few days. When contacting them again, the office staff was completely rude, acted like it was our fault and even had the gall to laugh at me when I expressed concern. I asked to speak directly to Dr. Carver but apparently she doesn't have the time to call back. After 2 days, I got sick of waiting and took our dog to another vet to stitch up his leg, which was done way better than the first 2 times that Dr. Carver had attempted. You would think that after spending $1200 over the course of 2 weeks, between the original surgery and then to have the stitches redone, they would have been more compassionate and concerned over the well-being of our dog. I would NEVER recommend taking your animal to this facility.
Having lived in the Kingston - South Frontenac area for nearly 15 years, and owning a range of animals cats to a 150 lb bull mastiff, I've found that this has both the best prices and wonderful service from Dr. Heather & staff. Highly recommended!
I don't have personal experience with this clinic, but have recently heard that in the whole of the Kingston area, this is the ONLY clinic who really cares about your pet's health. Yearly vaccinations make 30% of your vets annual income. Many experts agree that a 3 year vaccination cycle is sufficient. While others are greedy and want your money every year REGARDLESS of how harmful or unnecessary those shots are. 16 days ago my pooch was given the Leptosporosis vaccine unnecessarily from one of the money-mongering clinics here in town. She is an apartment-dwelling Boston Terrier who lives on the 8th floor, will NEVER be off-leash, and doesn't drink out of puddles. She still has a lump at the injection site from this shot that she did not need. Our pets' health is of the utmost importance to we pet owners. It's not about money, it's about longevity. My kitty just passed at 19 years of age ... because she had minimal shots in her lifetime. The evidence is clear.... vaccinations do not always encourage health. Help me spread the word that the Verona Animal Hospital encourages 3 year vaccination cycles and therefore clearly encourages HEALTH & LONGEVITY !!
Dr Carcer and her staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They take care of our dogs and are great at what they do. Very affordable rates and worth the drive from Kingston.
Hands down the best veterinary clinic I've ever been to. Affordable, dedicated, and interested in the well being of your pet.
