I had a wonderful experience checking out Velocity cars for a potential van for my Business. They have quite a large amount of imported cars that are so fun and interesting. I did a test drive with a Honda Vamos.. super fun to drive!! I was in contact with Nikola and I have to say he made the whole process so easy from our first conversation to going over everything. Although I did not end up getting the car I came to check out. Nikola was so patient with me, and gave me so much information on the car I came to check out and any other car that I had an interest in. Thank you so much for your time. Definitely recommend this place if you are in the market for a different type of car.
I recently purchased a Toyota Alphard from Velocity and the purchasing experience was nothing but pleasant and positive. All the staff members were professional and friendly. I primarily dealt with Marcelo, who I highly recommend for his patience, honesty and "easy to talk to" character. He listened well and answered all my questions pre and post sale. He spent a lot of time with me going through the vehicle and not once pressured me into a purchase. I could not have wished for a more favourable shopping experience, thank you!
Amazing people over here. Just picked up my 1999 jzx100 chaser and I absolutely love it. Austin was my rep through the whole process, always responding to my questions very quick and very thorough. Picked up a beautiful 2003 Subaru Legacy 2.0GT Spec B from Velocity, Brandon was very informative and patient while I was there, making it a comfortable and easy experience! Great people selling great cars, I’d definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a JDM car.
I never had to buy a vehicle from them although I'm a big fan of jdm cars. I only came to make daytime running lights on the vehicle I just imported. Sergey, the full time mechanic of this facility agreed to help. I left my vehicle there and took it next morning. I went to do the inspection right away, about 30 km from the place, and after that to ICBC. After I did the insurance I tried to start the car, it would not start, cranking perfect but would not start on fuel. I called Sergey and asked if he did something that might affect the fuel system. He said no, he denied that his involvement could cause the problem. I had to go to work that day so I called towing which costed me 300. Next day I asked Sergey to come and diagnose the vehicle, he did, called me and said you can start the engine if you manually turn the lights ON. Next day I came to the car opened up a fuse box and saw how the day running lights were connected. Being myself a marine engineer with more than 20 years of experience I never seen a Mickey mouse job like that. Thanks God my car stopped working at a parking lot and not at the highway at 100 km/h. It looked to me that the guy does not know what he is doing. Be careful if you buy a vehicle from the dealership, ask who did the DRL.
Amazing cars and customer service We were looking for a Delica, and after visiting two other cars dealers in the Lower Mainland, a friend of ours recommended us to go to Velocity cars. I have to say that I was impressed by the huge choice of cars, their quality, as well as the service. Luis took care of us and showed us the different models, compared them, opened cars and hoods. He was knowledgeable, answering very specific questions and showing us how to be able to see by ourselves. We noted that all the Delicas have brand new snow tires we were in October and this was not the case at the two other dealerships we visited before for the same price. We tried two Delicas very different price and options with success: we were able to choose easily the one that was best suiting our needs we were offered to show the car to a professional of our own to get an other opinion. During the whole decision process, Luis was discrete yet helpful. The purchase went smoothly and he was able to advise us on insurance and maintenance questions. A representative of ICBC came to us with the park plates we had chosen. Velocity offers an excellent after sale service. After the purchase, Luis stayed available for us, answered our questions and gave us advice when needed. I had specific requests for example I wanted to know what parts to bring with us on an extended road trip, and he sent me a super detailed email to help me plan. Last but not least, Velocity is not only a car dealer, it is also a mechanic shop. Therefore, they know how to pick the cars and prepare them for you to get the best experience, and they can also follow you through the life of your vehicule for its maintenance after purchase, especially in this niche market of imported cars they know how to get the parts and what are the characteristics of your vehicle. I highly recommend Velocity and Luis for your car needs.
Nice selection of cars and friendly staff. Cars are sold as-is, literally as when they arrive from Japan, no professional detailing job. I didn’t end up getting the car as we were not able to reach a deal. They didn’t seem whiling to fix some obvious problems with the car, or lower the price so I could get them fixed myself.
I've purchased 2 vehicles from Velocity now. The first is an 04 Daihatsu Hijet I bought just over 2 years ago that has served me as a daily driver for most of that time. It's needed nothing except regular maintenance. I've moved with this tiny truck, taken it off-road, and held highway speeds with no signs of trouble. The second I purchased recently, an 05 Subaru WRX. They were extremely helpful, providing me with as much information as they could while I waited for the car to go through inspection. I can't wait to enjoy this car for many years to come! For both vehicles, I've been incredibly impressed by how low the mileage is both under 100k km for 15+ year old cars, how I was treated by all staff members, the negotiation process, and how informed they kept me throughout the process. Velocity Cars has reliable, trustworthy, and knowledgeable staff. They are very particular about the cars they bring in, and they're extremely welcoming, even during the pandemic.
We thought they had a car we wanted. We placed a reasonable deposit on it. Then upon further inspection, we discovered that it was not quite what we wanted. Serge and Richard were extremely helpful from beginning to end. Richard made two videos of two different cars for us and patiently answered all of our questions. When, unfortunately, it didn’t work out to be what we wanted, there was no pressure to buy something else, just a polite inquiry about such, when we declined, there was no hesitation in returning our deposit! Very professional operation, I know it is difficult to not close the sale, but these guys dealt with it, and hopefully the car we want will turn up with them in the future, and we CAN close a deal. A great outfit, with a great product, and fantastic sales people! I fully recommend them for your JDM car and other general automotive needs!! Ask for Richard, tell ‘em Chris sent you! We just purchased our JDM import from Velocity Cars. We were able to purchase this vehicle from hours away with Riley's help. Riley made sure to take in depth videos, cold starts and test drives of the vehicles we were interested in. Based on Riley's great videos attention to detail, as well as answers to our questions he made sure we were comfortable and happy with all the information we requested. Riley was able to get our new purchase delivered right to our door safe and undamaged! Thank you Riley for taking all the time to answer our questions and make great videos for us so we could make a decision so far away! Riley was really good at keeping in contact throughout the buying experience and wouldn't think twice about purchasing a vehicle from Velocity Cars, all the necessary paperwork I needed was in the vehicle when it arrived, and was very easy to insure and transfer ownership! Thank you Riley for making us feel comfortable with this nerve racking decision to ship the vehicle to us we appreciate all your help!
