Ohh its great huge, busy and prime location for this kind of business nice and clean. Donation always accepted. If you coming to buy some clothes, shoes, cosmetic, jewellery, appliances and etc definatly you will find your style they carry most of every thing and its all in great condition and very reasonable price.
I love this store for a lot of things BUT the prices of some things are outrageous. If you want to sift through the 100s of pairs of jeans to find a hidden gem... a pair that is the store would cost over $100, but only have to pay $30-$40 for them - then it's great for that. Also- wonderful for finding those super neat things at a decent price that "you've been looking EVERYWHERE for" but never thought youd actually find!! BUT if what you're looking for is a simple summer dress, even a casual business dress or a long comfy maxi dress expect to pay nearly the same price as you'd pay in the store for it brand new. The prices of their dresses in particular are massively overpriced! It's very odd in my opinion. But then again like i said, its great for those one off items... just today - I bought a printer there for $19.99 that's selling at Best Buy & Amazon right now for $124.99!! It's in mint shape!! Super happy with it. So - just be choosy with what you buy there and definitely join the super savers club so that you can get coupons emailed to you. I had a 30% of clothing coupon I was able to use on all the clothes I got for me and my daughter's!!!
The store is well maintained and the staff is great. For the most part, prices are fair, but they still seem to have a lot of items that are priced so high they'll never sell. Dented pot from an old pressure cooker that has no lid for $20? Either someone wants to make sure nobody buys it or they were drunk on the job.
Funny how you pay more for clothes at the second hand store that were donated than you do brand new from Walmart... thrift stores are now completely unaffordable for people living on low budgets and that is a shame. I'm adding onto my last review about the prices.... in my photo you can clearly see the price difference from the brand new item at Walmart and the donated item with $0.49 added on. I find the prices in this store are getting out of control and too expensive to shop here anymore. I like to think that when I donate my clothing it is going to help people that are less fortunate and cannot afford to purchase new clothing but I've had to leave this store with nothing on the last 2 visits because the clothing was so highly priced I could find brand new clothing at several outlet stores or online for almost half price for what some of the items I saw today were priced at. If this is a non profit store than why is everything so overpriced? It's not like you are lacking donations and not only that it would be nice to see items priced at a fairly similar price say for t-shirts a certain window depending on wear and tear and purses within a certain price range. But the prices are so out to lunch it is really such a joke shopping here. I'm not happy at all and I am definitely boycotting this store until they start making things affordable again. Shame on you Value Village.
Bring back the change rooms!!! Or allow for full refunds not in-store credit. Because I have a very unique leg size and have to try each pair of pants to see if they are a right fit. If I can’t try the clothes on and you’re only offering in-store credit for a return then I would just be stuck with an ever larger amount of in store credit because of cloths that don’t properly fit me. So the half dozen pants I was going to try and maybe two or three would probably fit had to be abandon at the cashier and I took my business elsewhere.
Prices are way too high for used items. Some of the clothes are dirty. Some Shoes stink and house wares and orniments are filthy. Grease and dust embedded on them and you are asking alot of $. Wood boxes that use to have a soap or hand cream in them you charge more than when it came with the items inside. What the heck ???? Make it easier for shoppers
Value village is always an excellent place for books, clothes, and many other household items. They're reasonably priced, however you are not supporting a local company, you are supporting a chain. But I do like that they give a 20% off coupon when you donate other items, that makes it more fair than just taking everything to "Goodwill" for example.
*Constantly over priced for the items donated. *Many priced close to new prices for the brands, items that have obvious wear, tears and stains. *Environment is not warm or welcoming. *The store seems over crowded, poorly organized, dirty. *Items being sold that are not allowed to be resold hotel soaps, shampoo, etc dollar store items being listed with prices that are way over what they were new. *Staff barely acknowledge you or ask if you need any help. *Electronics don't always work, always sold as final sale, no refunds or exchanges. *I do not recommend shopping here if you are on a budget. You will lose your money. Thrift Stores like Mission Thrift are the way to go. Organized in a warm and classy way, affordable pricing, friendly staff..
This is the second place ever were the manager come up and told me I couldn't take any pictures in the stores. Like have you hear of Snapchat, Tiktok or even facebook. Almost ever teenager has posted a picture from inside the stores of a cool new shirt or something they have found that they like. I explained that I'm just doing a Google review and that most places or exited to have one done on there store. Nope! No way, sorry. Well know I want to know what your hiding. Do what you want, but I may be going to get as many pictures posted from inside the store now. :- Short minded people. Its a different world we live in, walk up. Social media is here.
The prices seem to be getting so out of hand lately! Way overpriced, but they are a for profit, so that's not a huge surprise. I think I'm mostly disappointed they made their book section even smaller, and keep putting price tags directly on the spines of the books.
