Staff is so nice and helpful, I would recommend this store. Only issue is the absurd prices when they receive their products for free from customers. Still a great store but prices continue to increase despite the previous stated facts.
Value Village, as a whole deserves some criticism, when compared to other thrift stores. This, Spruce Grove location, however, is fat better than other Value Village locations. Most notably, it is better than any location in Edmonton proper.nnThat said, no surprises here. It's part of a chain of thrift stores. You get used goods at, mostly, used prices. It definitely pays to know what you are buying and what it should sell for, as, occasionally, some of their prices are on the high side.nnThis location always seems to have a better selection of menswear than most other thrift stores.
Super sweet and helpful staff!! I love coming here because everything is so clean and organized, and the staff are always nice to talk to. Value Village as a brand is kinda meh but the people who run the Spruce Grove store are great!
Employees will actually grab items out of your hands at the till and tell you it’s not priced right and then come back with the item three times the price. Then look at you like you switched price tags on the junk. Seriously very low customer service. Like who does that!
They do not have a change room to try on clothes so it feels like a cash grab. Buy the clothes, take them home and hope they fit and if not you have 14 days for credit, they told me. Sounded good to me. Of course some items didn’t fit so I took them back within the return window and was told no credit, you need to shop immediately and pick clothes for the same price to exchange.nnIt seems like an unfair cycle. Buy more clothes to exchange them with and yet still don’t know if they will fit and continue this cycle until I end up giving up and just re-donating. Money lost.nnI will not be returning until change rooms or a more fair, and actual credit, is in place for customers. I encourage you all to speak up and maybe change will actually happen. We need the money in our pockets more than they do.
