Very nice park! One of the best free park that I have ever seen. Especially during cherry blossom season! People is packed during weekends so better go during weekdays to appreciate the nature and peacefulness of the place. It does not feel that it was situated inside a city. Finding a place to park your car near the park is kinda difficult, we have to park near the lake and walk which is okay since the weather is good. We will definitely go back! You also have to walk to find restaurants
It may be the best park in Toronto! It's suitable for hiking or walking dogs in summer, and there are many facilities and trails to choose from. There are a zoo, nature trails, and a dog walks area, a swimming pool, a tennis court, playgrounds, and many trees! There are a lot of parking spaces here and many shared bicycles to rent. It is also convenient to have a subway station next to the park. We visited this park for the first time and had a great afternoon here.
High park is my favourite part of Toronto especially when you want surround yourself with nature without getting out Toronto. Fall is so stunning here. There are lots of small trains for a easy hike in the park. And btw, this park is huge, with a beautiful lake with swans and ducks. Must visit if you are a tourist, or looking to go for a trail run or just to spend some peaceful time in nature. Heads-up: weekend can be busy, especially in summers and everyone is here taking lots of pictures.
It’s beautiful. Very nice place to hangout with friends, family or alone if you like. You can see various types of bird, goose, swans. On top you will find parking, washroom, food place for convenience not sure if they are open around the year. Rent a bicycle or walk around to see beautiful nature. Only issue I would say it’s busy sometime
It's a huge park, very beautiful and great for a lot of activities. Parking inside is closed during weekends, nearby street parking is usually full and finding a spot becomes bit of a hassle sometimes and has 3 hours limit. But once you get inside, it's great for spending time with family in a beautiful natrual serene environment. Great for a walk, cycling, picnic with friends and family, there's also a free zoo where kids enjoy watching and interacting with the animals. It's specially beautiful during the cherry blossom season and offers great spots for taking beautiful pictures. The play area is also great for kids of all ages. Overall it's one of the best parks in the city!
High Park is undoubtedly one of the best Parks in the heart of Toronto. No matter the season, if you want to enjoy the cherry blossoms in spring or the fall foliage in autumn it's the best escape into nature. You can bike, skate, run, and walk around the park. It has amazing maple tree trails with oak meadows. You can spot several kinds of Floras and Faunas, migratory birds, beavers, coyotes etc. The dog unleash trail is amazing and a heaven for your dogs . The waterbody near the garden is a fantastic spot to enjoy with friends and family. It has picnic tables and benches to relax. You won't realize you are in Toronto if you visit high park. There's a paid train ride within high park that's a fun ride if you do not want to walk. Highly recommend this park.
great place for a long walk. you can spend the whole day here. many places for children, a mini zoo, a large area for walking with dogs. many animals are found right along the trails. there is a summer pool. .
Went to see cherry blossom. Parking lot was closed as expected. Parked across the street. Very busy as expected. Trees weren't fully bloomed which was unexpected. Still had a good time. But a good portion of the park is under construction. Water overflowing on the pathway. Not maintained well at all. You have to walk a lot to see the trees as they are planted far apart from each other. Washrooms were decent but lacked sanitation. Water fountain was dirty. Definitely needs some maintenance so public can enjoy.
Great family friendly trails, activities and picnicking all year round. We’ve crisscrossed every length of this gem of a park, and somehow are still surprised when we revisit. Skating on the pond in winter is probably the most exciting thing one can do, and one must say hello to our resident swans. Go walk around or meet up with friends here, and I guarantee you will not be disappointed.
It is a real oasis in the middle of the city with its own flora and fauna. You will also find tennis courts, swimming pool, mini zoo, labyrinth, playgrounds, dog runs areas and other things. You can find here cold climate during hot summer days. Highly recommend for families and friends.
