This place is unhelpful and extremely unwelcoming. I was not greeted when I walked through the door. Workers just milled about the store, doing menial tasks, or really nothing at all. I tried to ask for help, but they avoided me like the plague. When someone finally actually approached me instead of me approaching them, they were rude and unhelpful. The store was a mess. Nothing was very well organized or cleaned. I get it, with make up and testers everywhere, but honestly, it doesn't look like they even cared.

I visited the store to purchase the 1 liter bottle of Matrix shampoo.  A sign hanging on the shelf proclaimed a special offer of a pump for the shampoo for $1.  At the checkout the cashier never mentioned the $1 offer.  When I asked about it, another Ulta employee said she would go to the back to see if they had any more.  Of course, even though the sign was still up they had no more.  TAKE DOWN THE SIGN IF YOU NO LONGER HAVE THE PRODUCT.  I have to wonder if they go to the back of the store every time they are asked about the $1 pump to make it seem as if they just ran out.

I went to the store to buy a philosophy gift for Christmas, there was a sign that said that you received a 4 oz Amazing Grace lotion with purchase.  I was told they were out of stock and that the sign would be removed.  I canceled my purchase at that time.  I returned Sunday with my daughter and again saw the sign about the free lotion with philosophy purchase.  I assumed that the free gift was back in stock and again attempted to make a philosophy purchase.  At the cash register, again I was told that they were out of the free gift stock and that the sign would be removed.  This is not the first time this has happened at this store.  The sales people were very nice and helpful, the problem must be with the manager or the person who orders the stock.  This seems to be a bait and switch thing, legally covered by the fine print 'while supplies last'.  In the future I will go to Macy's or Sephora.

Very unclear and unfair pricing policies!  My teenage daughter had a 10 minute haircut and opted out of the shampoo and style but was still charged for a full service appointment for $47!  They ended up giving us a first visit discount of 20% off, but this still was very expensive.  We will not be going back.

I am very unsatisfied with the service I received from the Salon at ULTA. I had an appointment there this past week and it was my first time there. The hair dresser who did my hair first did not address to me that I was going to be charged for “extra” things she did.  I ended up spending $65 more on things she did to my hair that I wasn’t aware of and didn’t know it was extra or else I wouldn’t of let her do it. The next morning I ended up having to go to urgent care because my face swelled up from products the hair dresser had gotten on my face during the appointment. I had to get a shot and prescribed medicine for the swelling to go down. I called Ulta telling them what happened and the lady who answered the phone said I had to call back because the hair dresser was not there. She did not seem concerned or even ask for my name/number. I went to Ulta the next day because I needed to find out what had been used on my hair that caused the reactions. I was told again the hair dresser was not there and they said they would put in my notes for her to give me a call. I was NEVER contacted by the hair dresser or Ulta in regards to what had happened, or told what was used on my hair that got on my face. My hair also was toned too much to where it had turned a blue tint and when I also addressed this to them, they said “well it’s better than it turning orange”. I am very dissapointned with the overall customer service I received, especially having it been my first time there.
