UBC Bookstore

Nice UBC apparel, but confusing order of it in store. Also, better styles for the ladies. Book selection is usually good. I dislike the new format for the textbooks organized by the teachers. I think the listing of the textbooks by course is a better option for quick searches.

It's the UBC bookstore. A mix of books, textbooks, souvenirs, and that is just scratching the surface. It is usually on the more expensive side, there is no student discount (at least that I am aware of, but honestly... I would be surprised). Check Amazon or other shops (like Staples at the University Village) if you want to save a few bucks; here you pay for the 'convenience' (or just the UBC tax)

Good customer service most of the times but can have extremely long line ups and, at times, required textbooks not in stock even after class has started. Some staff members do not seem to be aware of various purchase policies. Textbook buyback has a very short window timeframe to sell textbooks back to the store

Where you find textbook and much more. A large section of contemporary reads, art and science and academically related books. features a lot of graphic / illustrative books for readings in fragmented time. In the middle of the book section there's a kid's section where you can easily pick out some presents. Discounted sale books can be gems too. Large section of university branded stuff. Medium-sized stationeries and household items section. They do reflect that the buyer consider what the students need. Medium-size tech section. Apple products and digital accessories. Routers, mouse, headphones everything. There's also a medical book sections, features med books, Med posters and sometimes Med stuffed toys as well. Medium game / utility section. Mostly broad game. Have fun gadgets from time to time. Features souvenirs and gift options, usually chocolates and cards etc. Additional: a rental area where seasonal pop-up shops present. Halloween themed items, clothing store, RBC and stuff have been seen there. 🎃👻🎃

They have most things but their prices are pretty high.
