Great bookstore. Perfect creaky wooden floors, crammed shelves and a knowledgeable proprietor. Awesome.

I asked for a book they did not have on shelf, and after paying for it they ordered it for me and called me once they received it.

This store is a wonderful little resource. It has an excellent selection of old and new, and the staff are extremely helpful. Even if you don't really know what you are looking for, it is worth popping in for a treat.

Great store with tons of selection. Could use better signs for book sections, but organized and easy to locate what you're looking for

Pros: friendly, charming owner. If you are looking for time-tested, classic literature, this is the place to be. Con: if you're looking for hard-to-find science fiction or fantasy books, look elsewhere. Anecdote: I chatted with the owner about Céline's "Journey to the End of the Night" and Bukowski's "Post Office" and how these two writers influenced the generations to follow. He was very insightful, passionate, and funny. If you're in the area and even vaguely into books, Tanglewood Books is definitely worth a visit.
