The Comicshop

Used to regularly buy comics here. I like to try to support local business over shopping on amazon. Last time I went in I had a really bad experience with an employee and I haven’t been back since. I couldn’t find the comic I was looking for so I waited to ask the man at the till who was involved in a personal conversation with another customer. I waited for about 3-5 minutes before the other customer left. To my surprise the employee didn’t acknowledge me at all despite the fact I was standing in front of him waiting to ask a question. He was focused on whatever he was looking at behind the desk. I then greeted him and again he didn’t acknowledge me. I tried again to say hi and he ignored me. Feeling like I was in the twilight zone, I finally said “excuse me I’m looking for a comic and can’t find it.” He finally turned to look at me and said they were sold out. When I asked if he knew when they would restock he said no. I ended up ordering the comics I wanted online for cheaper. I’m not sure if he was having a rough day or it was the fact that I am a woman but it was a very discouraging experience and I will not be shopping here ever again. Ignoring customers right in front of your face is beyond rude and honestly felt discriminatory.

Great selection of comics from Golden Age to the most recent ones. Also staff that will go out of their way to help you get that one issue that you are missing to complete your collection. And if you at lucky there is always small poster for grabs every time a new Event is Released.

This comic shop has been here since I was kid. Friendly staff and just a great place for comics. A Kits classic.

Pretty decent place to get comics - the store is a good size, and has everything you'd expect it to have. The staff can come off a little unfriendly, but as long as you ask them for help, instead of waiting for them to approach, you'll be fine.
