Was a quite and decent environment. Not much rush near the Consulate but going towards that route was a hell. Downtown Toronto is always busy with Construction and Roads are always blocked. Very fast processing, mobiles and Bags are not allowed. Street Parking is available but very few but Underground parking is also available close by. Good luck everyone.
Very helpful and informative staff and the location is very easily accessible and conveniently located very close to public parking with ample space. They even have a photo booth in case you missed taking one Not sure if its operational though. Only thing that would make the complete experience perfect is access to lockers since no mobiles, smart watch or electronics of any sort are allowed inside. For people travelling in public commute, it could be very difficult - however respite for them is a few steps away in the form of convenient store, photo shops that offer locker facility.
Beginning from the security guys to the interviewing officer, they were all very friendly, professional, kind and polite. Each greeted me with smile. They were all diligent at their duty. They kept the line moving. They were respectful. Instructions were clear. They are happy to answer your questions. Overall I had a good experience. They get the job done. I hope USA government knows that they are well represented. I hope government pays them well. They do amazing job. Only God knows how many people they interview every day. It can be stressful. Thank you to the guy that interviewed me.
The space inside is a little constrained, but overall, a very well-managed place. All the staff and visa officers are very polite and friendly. I was in and out in about 35 minutes. Just make sure you have all the documents ready and well put together! You can rent a locker at a convenience store that is close to Tim Hortons on the right side. Overall, I am very impressed with the performance.
Had to visit for my B1/B2 visa interview. The staff, including the visa officer, was very accommodating and friendly. It was a long queue, 30 minutes waited outside in cold wind weather. However, the end-end process was very neat and fast once entered into the premise.
The best Consulate I've ever been in. I've been waiting for my interview more than year, but this is the reality of post-COVID situation. They sent all the instructions through email with the info what to bring and what not to. DO NOT BRING ANY ELECTRONIC DEVICES, otherwise there is no chance to get inside the building. They take it very serious. They have a system, and you pass different lines, like check-in, providing documents, fingerprints, and finally interview. The stuff is very friendly and super polite. I was sent to provide the additional documents for final decision. No offence, cause this was reality of my country and security purpose of the US. Totally understandable. I would like to thank you for your hard work and leaving the good aftertaste after visiting your Consulate.
Everything is good. Except you can’t do anything after submission of your documents. Like you have to wait. Even your status is saying contact consulate. There is no system that can tell you when you will get your documents back. Contact number for visa is completely useless they can tell you whats your visa status saying means that you already know. Email always reply with some sort of automated message. So make sure you don’t need any documents for next 2-5 months.
I hate to give reviews but was forced to do so. I wished there was a way to give 0 rating to these below average pathetic jokers. Customer service over the phone is pathetic and way below average. Very un-grateful and not helpful at all. I waited for 5 months just to get an interview date and now am still waiting to get a status update as to when my passport will be sent back. As i need to travel out urgently due to some emergency, no matter how many times i have called the customer service at the embassy / consulate explaining them my situation, it has just been a nightmare to deal with. Am stuck now as i cannot travel as my passport has not yet been dispatched back by the consulate. Very slow and below average service. One of the most horrible and pathetic consulates to ever deal with once the passport has been submitted. 10 days and still no whereabouts on my passport or when it will be sent back. Ridiculous..
I had an interview for my 4 children in July 2021, at That time I was told I only needed to send in one document and that I would receive my children's passports and birth abroad 4 weeks later, I sent in the requested document the day after the appointment and 12 weeks later I still had nothing, when I followed up they told me there was a "miscommunication" within their office and requested more documents, which I sent immediately in Sept, in Dec 2021 after I still had received nothing I followed up again and they said I would hear shortly....I was confused as I had already been approved, had my interviews and my children and I were living in the US, in January 2022 they denied my kids application as they said I couldn't prove my US citizenship..I emailed them numerous times with no response, they misplaced multiple documents for our case, never responded to my emails and now I had to hire a lawyer to try an appeal their decision who has also not heard from the consulate after 3 months of emails. My husband was able to get his green card quicker then this and was approved with the same documents. I have spent over $10,000 and have been living in the United States for with my 4 Canadian born children for the last year and still have NOTHING from the Consulate in Toronto who refuse to respond to my or my lawyers emails. I was born and raised in the US and moved to Canada when I was 20 because my husband was Canadian. Good Luck when dealing with them as they are completely unresponsive, unorganized and unwilling to serve US citizens.
