The stuff there are super nice and professional. I made some mistake of the application form and they helped me correct them instead of preparing for a new one. The whole process only takes 10mins. It's great experience.

The worst visa application experience ever! I was in the visa center on Monday morning and was interviewed by a female staff. She was extremely rude. Due to some emergency, I have to get my passport back by the end of Friday. She said it's impossible and I have to wait until next Monday morning to pick it up. Based on the research I did earlier, the processing time of Japanese tourism visa varies from 3 to 7 days. And I called Montreal visa center and confirmed that the processing time is not firm. Due to special circumstances, I could talk to visa officer and discuss. However, this lady in Toronto location didn't listen to what I said at all. She even yield at me. She was there to say No instead of offering any help. When I asked question, she refused to give any explanation. So I gave up the first visit. When I came back for the second visit, I was interviewed by a male staff. The fist female staff saw that and directly stepped into our conversation and took over my case. Now I ended giving up my trip to Japan. It makes me not willing to visit Japan for ever!!

It's a small place with two service windows but the service is OK. The staffs are nice generally. They review your file immediately when you submit visa application and you can pick up your passport at the same place one week later. Pay the visa fee when you pick up your passport.

Surprised this is listed on King. As I understand it 205 Warren (near St Clair/Avenue) is owned by the Consulate-General of Japan. Look for the KIKU (chysanthemum) symbol of Japan above the front door.
