Consulado General de Colombia en Toronto

It used to be worse beleive it or not! Before it was a cramped space and very few seating. The people there just know nothing about servicing clients and are probably there because they know "someone"; starting with the consul Cristina Pastrana Arango. They can't think out of the box, go out of their way not to help you and their business hours are minimal! Having said that, I also see people that just show up without going to the website and reading beforehand what is needed for their particular matter. So half the time is wasted just explaining to them that it's USD not CAD that they must bring certain documents, etc.

I had 4 encounters with the Colombian Consulate in Toronto recently. One phone call, one Email, and two in person visits. Long story short these people are not very friendly nor helpful unless your lengua materna es espanol.... If you speak English as a first language be ready for eye rolling and stone walling. On a good note most Colombians are lovely and friendly, I am sure the Consulate staff have merely lost their manners through too much big city living in Toronto.
