Horrible customer service!!! Worst experience at a bank so far! as a customer or non customer. I went in to cash a check my current kandlord gave me and from the beginning the teller and her supervisor had a skeptical look. They told me they had to create a profile since I didn't have an account with them and they would need my SSN address full name and 2 forms of ID. I provided the information and they the teller said since the check was for more than 500.00 she had to get an approval. I told her I had never heard of that but ok. After waiting 15 mins while the teller and her supervisor talked I asked if everything was ok and they said they had to verify a few things. They finally told me they had to call the person who wrote the check to confirm a few things....I asked again if they was an issue with the check and they just kept saying they needed to verify a few things....after 30 mins they finally said they had called my landlord to make sure he was the one who wrote the check and they co formed he did but they. Could not cash the check because the written amount was not legible.....my question is why were they under the impression my landlord/their customer didn't write the check? Was it my last name the fact I am Latin and if you were not going to cash it anyways because it wasn't legible could you have not been able to tell me from the start and not waste 30 mins of my time? I went in there thinking if opening an account and left feeling judge and offended....for some reason I guess they thought I had a fake check....#raciallyprofiled
