U-Haul Moving & Storage of Kitchener

This location is absolutely brutal. My boyfriend and I waited for an hour in line at 5:00pm on a Thursday, just to return the keys. There was one guy working at the desk while 3-4 other employees just walked around and didn't help AT ALL. Guy at the desk would leave his station to go outside and inspect the returned truck with the customer, leaving everyone standing there waiting in line...nobody else came to take over at the checkout while he was gone...nobody else stepped up to go outside and do vehicle inspection. The WORST customer service I have ever experienced. leave

A dent on the bumper was present when I picked up my truck. I took pictures of all damage prior to leaving the pick up address and was able to prove the damage was not my fault, but because I paid for the insurance, the drop off location processed the claim before telling me anything about it which is not ethical. I strongly encourage everyone to take dozens of pictures of the truck/trailer prior to even sitting in the truck. Uhaul will do their best to pass the buck on any damage, even old, on to anyone to try and get more money. Scratches, dents, missing rivets, ANYTHING at all, inside and out. If you see any damage they haven’t mentioned on the damage report, call them on it and tell them to add it or the drop off location will blame you. Upon dropping off the truck, the dent wasn’t reported by the pick up location and the drop off location is telling me it’s my fault, but ok because I got the insurance. This is poor documentation on the part of the pick up dealer. I was also charged extra km’s Because I had to drive an additional 30 km’s when my drop off location had too many trucks. This should not have been my problem. Overall, terrible experience with the administrative end of the process.

Absolutely horrible. We reserved a closed trailer 2 months ago. Went to pick it up and they only had an open trailer. They said that was what we reserved. Fortunately I had the email confirmation showing what we really Ordered. The guy at the desk just mumbled that wasn't what was in his system, as if I created the email. No help trying to resolve the situation. I will never get over the rudeness and disrespect.
