Overall cost: $25 with taxes. Visited this joint on April 21 2023. I really liked the service. A soft spoken guy who asked us if it’s our first time and made the efforts to explain the menus and combos. We ordered one regular veggie bowl with rice and one curry and different toppings. You can make it spicy with choice of sauce. We also ordered a samosa chaat a well. I really liked the food and I have to say it feels like they have put some effort into making sure that the food is indeed tasty. The place is very clean and roomy and there is ample seating as well. Although there is seating inside, I have to say the place gives you more of a take out vibe and I think it’s deliberate as it’s designed as Indian street food joint. Parking is not going to be an issue at all. There is ample parking right in front and all over. You can see that in the pics. You can do your groceries at farm boy, maybe go to home depot and on the way back hop into this place for some Indian street food bites. I don’t remember seeing pani puri in the menu so excuse me if it’s there and if i forgot. However I remember looking at the menu and wishing for more options. This is not a negative point or criticism. Just wishing for more options out of greed of a foodie. Overall a great place I’d say. I really loved the service and food was great as well. The combination of great service and good food makes this a place to visit multiple times for me. Lot of places forget that people who visit their joint are doing it not just for food as that is something we can get anywhere. It’s always the service mixed with good food that makes your joint stand apart in. Loved this place and I’d recommend you to visit and check it out yourself. I’m sure you will like it. Cheers
Ready for a game changer ? Twisted Indian was an absolute 10/10 experience. Everything was flavourful, fresh and delicious. My favourite part of the entire experience was the service. The staff was busy but still they welcomed us, and explained us the menu since we were visitng for the first time. The staff is super helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the food. The owner personally came to our table to make sure everything is perfect. I was overwhelmed with the options in the menu. I seriously cannot recommend this place enough. P.S. must try their east meets west cheesecake which has gulabjamun on the top!
I had this at Twisted Indian Oshawa location. Food was good. Ambience was cool. Friendly staff and reasonable prices.Recommended dishesAloo Tikki Chaat
Great place with great flavour!! Went for a quick bite since we were hungry and got a limited time “naanwich” with paneer and the samosa chaat. Both were delicious. We got spicy for both and the spice was felt more in the chaat so be aware if you are not tolerant to spice. We will definitely be going back as this place has a lot more flavour than other similar places in Durham.
Great authentic Indian food with a twist. Excellent menu selection and location is super convenient.
What more would a samosa lover want? We ordered Samosa chaat, Samosas, samosa burger and a paneer tikka bowl for my not so samosa lover friend And I didnot take picture of the mango lassi but it was superb, too. Very very very tasty food. We were hungry on that afternoon afternoon and saw this new place. The restaurant ambience is beautiful. We sat by the window and had our food watching rain. The restaurant was busy but since it was a huge space for a fast food restaurant, we didnot get disturbed at all. We enjoyed our time there. The staff is very nice. They greeted us well. The place is super clean. If it's your first time, the staff will provide excellent suggestions that will cater to any palette. Fantastic service combined with sublime and tasty Indian fusion food =10/10. If I could more stars, I would.
This is a great option for Indian fast food. I appreciate the twist on traditional Indian food, but overall, I think the quality of Indian food at more conventional Indian restaurants is better, with similar pricing. The food was definitely tasty and satisfying. If looking for your standard Indian food fix, I may go elsewhere, but if the fusion of Indian and North American cuisine is appealing, then try this out. The poutine with butter chicken was delicious. The butter chicken sauce was very tomatoey, but good mixed with the chutney. The potato curry was great, but a bit runny, so I would make sure you have it on rice. The dishes are all mild, and you can add medium or hot chutney to spice it up.
The staff takes care of the customers really well. When you go in person, they greet you with smile and explain the menu and after seeing you confused about the menu , they will help you make decision on what to eat. A big thank you with a little smiley on the bag makes me happy. It was my third order since they are open and hands down!! The best place in durham! Must try it out.
Nice place with a concept similar to Chipotle/Qdoba. Loved the aloo tikki chat & mango lassino added sugar, made with mango pulp only. Recommend the place if you are looking for a quick Indian bite. You can also do the sample tasting of proteins. A nice to have for someone not familiar with Indian flavors. The store manager is very welcoming too.
Enjoyed our aloo tikki and poutine. Good service. Except for the crispy chicken burger, the other meat options are halal.
