Visited Chingari for the first time tonight and really enjoyed it. My wife and I tried a variety of dishes and they were fantastic! Service is also lovely and the owner is extremely helpful in navigating the menu if there are dietary concerns. I would specifically call out their Chingari Chicken Curry. It’s superb! Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options as you would expect from an Indian menu. Dietary restrictions: Owner is very helpful. My wife is gluten and dairy free and he was able to help us navigate the many options especially without dairy.
Amazing food and quick service. Will definitely be back for more. The chicken kadai was little oily but tasted fantastic. The paneer lababdar was phenomenal. Everything tasted great Vegetarian options: Paneer lababdar, chingari cauliflower
I ordered from here using Uber eats. I ordered Mutton Rogan Josh, chicken tikka, butter naan and tandoori roti. Mutton rogan josh and chicken tikka taste was good. Butter naan was ok but I don’t like tandoori roti. Price was reasonable and quantity was good. I will order again.Recommended dishesChicken Tikka Masala
I went to Chingari yesterday for the first time, my friend and I both ordered the vegetable samosas and they were huge and delicious! The sauces are so yummy! We each had a main dish and garlic naan, and were both full and took about half home. Food was flavourful and spice level was perfect and customizable. The cocktails were delicious and the service was great! The owner came out to chat with us and he was kind and answered all our questions. The food was fresh, and the atmosphere was great. Will definitely be going back, and will recommend.
There is a new Indian restaurant in Whitby and we happened to try it on day 2 of its opening. Ufff, the taste just blew our mind. Everything that we ordered was a jackpot. The chicken kebabs were juicy, soft and perfectly marinated. But, the dish that truly touched our soul was their chicken kadhai. I have never tasted anything like this in entire Toronto. We could tell that the spices were freshly prepared and the taste was an authentic dhaba style chicken kadhai which is how we like to eat back in India. And finally we ordered their rice kheer and gulab jamun, which was a scene stealer too. It was a perfect place for us family of 4 to enjoy our meal.Back in the car we already started discussing on whether we should try their indo Chinese or goan/amritsari fish curry next...lol We will definitely keep coming back for more ! Kid-friendliness: They serve fries and chicken nuggets
I’m so happy to have this restaurant close to home. I can’t recommend it enough. Tasty deliciousness! Price and atmosphere are right. Yum!!!! Wish I could post food pics. But we ate it all.
Chingari is the latest addition to Whitby. Only a month in the business, already making it’s name among the best Indian cuisine restaurants in Whitby. Place is nice and cozy. Best part is the food. We have tried lamb shank with jafrani pilaf and Chingari chicken kadai. Lamb was deliciously marinated and super soft. Chicken kadai was brilliantly spicy. I have to mention specifically their butter naan, that was amazingly crunchy. Every dish was prepared fresh. A delight for food lovers. Can’t wait to dine in again.
Delicious food.. I ordered Dal makhani, palak panner, naan and rice. We enjoyed lot. Service was good. Feel like home.Food: 4/5
First time visiting this place today. We were going to visit another place for lunch but saw this and decided to try it out. I've eaten at a lot of Indian restaurants all over the GTA and this one stands out as one of the best. Freshly made, Excellent quality of ingredients, generous portions and a reasonable price. The flavours and spice were all on point and very authentic. They have an outdoor patio which recently opened I understand and is very nice and has a good ambience. Whitby, you have a gem of a restaurant!
I was happy to see another restaurant opening close to my place, tried few things and nothing met my expectations. Food wasn’t flavorful, naans were too doughy, kulcha was disgusting, you can’t even say it’s a kulcha by looking at it. Samosa had a runny and tasteless filling, it wasn’t fresh. Same issue with Paneer makhani, it was just tomato paste with hard pieces of paneer. I ended up throwing $52 worth of food. They should hire a proper chef if they are serious about business. I am leaving an extra star for the hospitality.
