I was having a difficult time tracking down a particular model of Blackstar amp and had no luck with the big music stores in the city. I decided to try Tundra Music when I saw they had a large selection of Blackstar products and I wasn't disappointed. Matt, the Toronto store manager, was able to get the amp for me and at a good price, too! And he personally made sure it was delivered to me promptly. Very satisfied with the product and the service.
I needed a sting for my kids ukulele and my acoustic guitar. Matt was very helpful and got a pack of stings for the Ukulele.and asked if I would like to have my guitar setup. So decided to get the setup done for my acoustic guitar. The next day Matt called and said my guitar was done and ready for pickup. Matt is very friendly and knowledgeable about his work and we had great talk about different types of stuff. Great service and very fast turn around for the service that was provided. Would definitely recommend to speak to Matt at the Jones location. Will definitely be back as I am thinking about getting resonator guitar
I want to address some serious issues with Tundra Music. If you read through all of the reviews about Tundra Music, you may be skeptical, a lot of those reviews have merits, and a lot of them do not, here is my experience, strictly the facts, I will leave opinions out until the end of my review. 1. Browsing their website from my phone 7 May 2021, see a guitar that I want, it is listed as "in stock". I order it. Weeks go by, no information about tracking provided. After calling 3 times to speak to the manager, and emailing them 3 more times, I finally received the response, "this guitar was not in stock, we put your order in with the manufacturer, estimated delivery will be 3 months" 2. Followup 3 months later, employee I spoke with no longer works for the company, under new management. Lead time is another 6 months. 3. Followup 6 months later, still not in, will be delivered in 3 months or less. 4. Guitar arrives at my door 26 August 2022. If I had known it was going to take 15+ months for the guitar to arrive, I wouldn't have ordered it, however, after new management took over a few months after I ordered the guitar, the customer service was exceptional. This situation could have been a disaster like so many of the other reviews, and I think really what it comes down to is old management and oversights. The website on my desktop never showed the guitar I ordered as "in stock" it was strictly the mobile link, however, when you're operating a business selling expensive instruments, those kinds of small details can make or break your reputation, and having faults like that in your online infrastructure, that needs to change. The lack of support I got early on was equally concerning, so if I were writing this review a year ago before the management changed, it would unabashedly be a 1/5. When management did change, they put me directly in touch with the manufacturer's sales rep, who provided updates along the way, and they were warm and receptive. Now, I also did not want to harass their employees because they're people, and they're trying to fix a lot of problems that they inherited, so I kept my follow-ups consistent to only the dates that they kept giving me, and tried to speak to them with the same courtesy they showed me. I want to express my greatest thanks to Matt who really went above and beyond, I would absolutely recommend that if you have interest in buying guitars, that you deal with Matt directly over the phone, he's receptive, and gracious, and I am very thankful for the guitar that I ordered through Tundra Music. Keep up the great work!
Don't ever deal with these people or order a guitar online from them, I had a warranty issue with them for a defective neck pickup in a brand new $3000 Fender UltraTelecaster . For over 3 months they kept promising to resolve the issue and then they decided to ignore my emails and refused to answer my phone calls. I ended up having to buy a new set of pickups that set me back $300 becuase i was fed up with these people. All the negative reviews are true. Once they get your money they don't give a S@#T.
Great guitar/accessory shop, with plenty of variety in a relatively small space. I was in the market for a new acoustic, and Matt showed me a wide variety of guitars all very well setup and maintained to try out. Even though I was there for a new acoustic which I did purchase, they've got a large selection of electric guitars/basses, amps, pedals, accessories, etc. I'll definitely be back if I need a professional setup on any of my instruments, or just a pack of strings.
I went to the Jones Ave shop and couldn't find the guitar I looked at online, but it was at their other store I was told. Since they have such a great selection, I bought a different model of the same company and everything worked out. Best thing to do is take a trip down there and check it out. Matt's a nice guy and knows his guitars. Tundra wants to be a big name, but they need more employees in order to attain that status. I would go back.
Love my Guild F-55. Great experience. Very helpful. They moved products from another store to save me driving. Quality products and family owned. Support these stores, there aren't many left!
Oh man, where do I start? I am very satisfied with my purchase Ibanez S series and the experience as well. It was my first time visiting a music store like tundra music. Matt is really cool and welcoming. Furthermore, he assisted me without any hesitations on choosing a right guitar for my style. Thank you so much.
I bought a new Godin Multiac KOA at the Tundra Music Jones Ave store this past Friday Jun, 17. Matt was really helpful and provided a great service. I had the opportunity to try different guitars loved the Guild D-55. The service Matt provided was outstanding. We will definitely go back! Thanks Matt!!!
We bought a used Gibson SG bass from Matt at the Tundra Music Jones Ave store. The service Matt provided was really great. He made sure we got a great price and a great bass. Thank you Matt! We will be back.
