Affordable and good Chinese food. Famous for their crispy pork hock and Gui Lin noodles. Good wok authenticity , you can hear it from the kitchen. Sweet and sour pork was fresh, crispy and hot. Noodles were hearty and generous. Even came with daily soup. I also really liked their chili oil, one of the hotter ones in town.
I grabbed fried noodle with seafood for a quick dinner and then hurried for a seminar nearby. This is my first time visit of this restaurant. I appreciate very much that the dish is rich in heat intensity "wok hei". The chef is also generous in providing the noodles and seafood. The sauce is not salty. The attendants are friendly and attentive.
Pretty standard chinese style restaurant with a pretty decent variety of dishes and meals. Good flavours and generous portions. Really liked their french toast recommend trying that.
A hidden germ. Recommended by a friend, This is my first time, it surprised me The rice noodle soup with stew lamb taste amazing Item #8
Coming from someone who lived in Guilin, their guilin noodles were pretty good. Got no.2 guilin style noodle with beef and was quite impressed with how much beef they give you. Service was great too, so definitely recommend.Food: 5/5
A friend took me there today and the food wasn’t half bad. I got the minced pork noodle soup or something Guilin Style. I’ve rarely tried Gui Lin style rice noodles before so I’m not the best judge for the authenticity, but the noodles were good at least to me.
Ordered a curry beef brisket over rice and it was surprisingly bad. The curry has no spice and flavor, and the large quantity of cheap green peppers and onions thrown into it made it a worse ripoff for $14, not to mention the onion were uncut and almost raw enough to get me tear up. Not enough meat, and again they came in ridiculously big chunks, maybe they misplaced all their cleavers that day.
Warning: the decor at this place needs a facelift, but the food is definitely worth it!!! We came on a Sunday evening and it wasn't too busy. Service is fast and helpful. We ordered the minced pork Guilin stir fried noodles and the beef brisket Guilin soup noodles. We can only have Guilin noodles here because it's hands down the best in Toronto. The tomato and the perserved veggies compliment each other perfectly. We also ordered a side of deep fried chicken wings, it's fried to perfection. Some other crowd pleasers here, if you're adventurous enough - deep fried chicken knuckles, deep fried duck beak, deep fried pork intestines. The HK style milk tea is very good as well. In the winter, try the lamb hot pot. If you want good, fast, and cheap eats and don't mind the dated decor, definitely check this place out if you're in the area.
Friendly service and tasty foods. Would love to come back to try other dishes on the menu :
