Stopped here for lunch. Ordered the satay soup with a Beef sub. The soup had decent broth but I felt could have used a bit more noodles and beef, especially consideringI ordered a large, the sub was average, not bad by any means. If your in the area and looking for a quick inexpensive lunch, check this place out. Also I will say this, the prawn salad rolls are very well priced here.
First of all, very reasonable price subs around $7up to $8. Portion is bit small but tasty. Sate is juicy.
Was an excellent experience going here, the price was very reasonable and the portions were a good size, good flavor, prompt service, and very clean washroom
Their Beef Sate sub, #140 on the menu, is on the verge of being fantastic. Nice bun, good flavour, and decent size, but a little skimpy on the beef. I don’t know if the owner reads these reviews, but if they do, please add a little more beef and you’ll become our first choice.
I have lived in the area and this place was my go-to for Vietnamese food. I was never amazed with the service however the most recent times I was there a week ago the service was horrid. I was treated as though I was inconveniencing them by coming in to eat with my kids. Now onto the food. The portion sizes have been reduced substantially. Not only that, the large amount of lettuce and small amount of meat like 1oz was not worth the cost. After 5+ years of going there, I will never go there again. They lost my business and likely more if they don't change something.
On our way home. Found this place and google reviews gave it a 4.4. Got home and was not impressed at all with our order. Small portions. They were very cheap with the sauce good for one dip with a wonton and vermicelli. Won’t be going back. Food was alright. Spring rolls were soggy when we got home.
Pho broth is flavorful, spring rolls are to die for, bubble tea is great, usually not too busy which is perfect for sunday mornings when vietnamese is all you can think about.Recommended dishesVermicelli Grilled Beef, Beef Noodle Soup, Salad Rolls, Prawn Salad Rolls
The food is decent and the price is reasonable. This is our first time dining here and we really like this place. Will definitely come back for more.Food: 5/5
This is hard to say b/c my family & I have been going here for years. And normally I give 5/5 for restaurants because we support them. But I have to be honest. Food was good. What bothered me is that I was with my elderly parents. My dad asked for a petite bowl of fish sauce, and had to ask for extra broth because his noodles were soaking up the soup so quickly, and he can't eat fast. The young waitress NEVER asked if we were okay with, or told us that we would be charged for these. If we were at least told in advance, that would have been proper professional courtesy, but for my elderly dad to get surprise extra charges on the bill my mom and I left early for an appointment, was disappointing and sad. I felt my elderly dad was taken advantage of.
One of the best pho places in Calgary. Salt and pepper tofu is a great way to start a meal. If you like spicy then try the sate which is made in house. You can ask for sate sauce on the side for any of the pho dishes.
