Sesame

Honestly, was excited to try this place. Terrible. They either messed up our order or this is just so bad. Just picked up their “pad Thai” and it’s the worst thing I’ve ever put in my mouth. No flavor, the sauce tastes like tomato sauce and the noodles aren’t the right kind of noodle. Tofu tasted like rubber. Don’t recommend at all.

The lady there is super nice! The food is great and the portions are large. As someone with a Chinese stomach, their spicy cumin lamb noodles and are both really good. But avoid anything kongpao because their sauce is clearly the modified sweet versionin case you like the authentic taste

Deserves zero stars. I am extremely upset with the quality of the food. We entered the restaurant at 8:30 with 30 minutes before closing. This is not unreasonable and we were treated as though we were being a nuisance. We got the Hunan Chicken and the Pad Thai with chicken to-go, and it was so incredibly disgusting we had to throw it out and go get something else for dinner. The main issue in both of the dishes was that the chicken was slimy and not entirely cooked through. The chicken was pink in some areas and stringy. It was as though it had been quickly microwaved or boiled. The quality of the food should be consistent regardless of the time it is ordered. Overall a very disappointing experience and we will not be returning.

Came to dinner with my son and ordered a large chicken dish that in the picture had rice and broccoli. For my surprise the large size it’s just chicken, and the cashier didn’t tell us. When the food was ready I ordered a size of rice and vegetables so my son could eat, and it took ages! My son was really hungry. Food was good but the service could improve.

Every time I've come here, the food has been very good. Staff and cook are very friendly and the place is also very clean!

Great to see another business open in the University District! I tried the Singapore noodles. Ordered online. Place is clean and bright. Great taste and reasonable price. It's a 4 min walk from home for me! I'll definitely be back. The $2 milk tea special unfortunately was not on the online menu. Otherwise, I would have tried that as well.

I've been here twice so far and I'm impressed! The dishes are well priced and they are delicious. The beef fried noodles are legit, with the wok hei breath of the wok that is a key marker of a good fried noodle! I also tried their bubble tea avocado mango smoothie with pearls. It had a perfect balance of avocado and mango, plus the pearls had the perfect chewiness. This will definitely be one of my go-to spots for tasty Asian food Update: After a few more visits, it seems the taste is not always consistent. Some days the dishes were lacking a bit in flavour/salt. Still a great spot to get a filling meal for a decent price! Also, I've noticed some of the bad reviews on here are not reliable because it seems like they are expecting a Western Chinese dish, but some dishes are more on the authentic side.

I am a regular customer at sesame restaurant and I have tried most of the food on the menu and I with my daughter enjoy it very much because there is served delicious Real Chinese food if you like Chinese food than sesame is a good place to go and with the reasonable pricing, currently they even selling some dim sum and Vietnamese food as well, the Siu mai is huge and tasty Viet noodles also yummy , the bubble tea is amazing we cannot without it when we were there.

I've been to man different Asian restaurants, in search of a tasty and hot chilli oil. Hands down this place has the godly chilli oil
