Travelodge Port Elgin Colonial

Quaint little place for the price. Been here twice due to affordability and proximity to Sauble Beach. This last time, I was so unimpressed by how hard the beds are. The "comforters" are colourful bedsheets, the pillows are too flat for comfort. My wife was several months pregnant and after 20mins, couldn't take it anymore. There was also no water in our fridge. I went to complain at the front desk and asked her to invite the Manager to sleep on one of those beds and their family members at all. It was insulting to think the Manager would have their customers on such poor bedding and probably was sleeping comfortably at home. Please have more respect for your customers. On the plus, the breakfast place was nice and the pool is great as well. But the most important aspect is your sleep!!

The Colonial Motel is currently renovating the entrance/lobby area. There is no longer an antique shop in the premises. However this did not impact on our stay. Room was clean, comfortable, and all necessary amenities. Morning coffee was available in the lobby The pool is not a chlorine pool and was a delight. The price for one night, room with a jaccuzi was modest.

Friendly front desk reception, clean rooms, comfortable bed. I'm a pretty picky person generally, and I've stayed at this hotel twice. There's definitely nothing fancy about it, but if you're looking for a clean and comfortable place to stay the night at an affordable price this is where you want to spend the night.

Awesome good food great service my mom works here the staff she works with are very very very nice and very helpful I give them a 5 star rating because they deserve it it is very good they have a pool, cafeteria, and amazing staff the owner is very nice too please give port elgin travelodge a 4 or 5 star review they definitely deserve it the motel Rooms are very very clean and I mean very clean this motel is very awesome 5 stars thank you travelodge port elgin

Friendly staff, fast check in, blazing fast free wifi, discount at my favorite restaurant (attached to hotel), in-suite fridge / microwave plus 24-7 coffee and hot chocolate in the lobby. Great value!
