Mr. Tran is so proud of his food that he has put his on name on this restaurant. He opened his doors in June of 2020, at the peak of Covid uncertainty. He works tirelessly at creating really amazing, fresh food. The Shrimp Salad Rolls are not pre-made like many other Vietnamese restaurants. They are moist and full of goodness. They even have mint inside that give them a fresh flavour that I have not tasted before. The dishes come out beautifully plated and each meal tastes unique. The quality of his ingredients are top-notch. No sinewy cheap beef in the broth or old dried up cilantro or cheap, tiny shrimp. Nope. Only huge, succulent shrimp that are perfectly cooked. Tran is soft spoken, kind and striving to live the Canadian dream. I hope his community embraces him because he has a product and story that anyone can get behind.
Excellent dining experience! Table clean just before we sat down, really huge variety of Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese and even some Western dishes. Fresh rolls came out very promptly crunchy and delicious! Mixed noodle with barbecue pork was delicious! Coming back soon .
A hot bowl of Pho with cool weather outside is perfect. Original recipe of Viet cuisine . Glad to found this restaurant. Thanks to the chef for good a good meal here.
Okay, i had to be in mississauga this sunday evening but did not have to be present for this social. So i went driving around mississauga searching to get some takeout. But what i saw were a few italian restaurants open for dine-in !!!! What ?!?!?! ... i drove abit more and found this viet - thai restaurant called Tran Kitchen. Even though the weather this evening is very windy, grey, and wet, here stands this circular building with an open kitchen. I gotta try this place out cause in downtown toronto, nothing is open for dine in. And i like the design of this building too ! Keeping it short: - chicken pho: its okay, broth not too salty and not too greasy. There is enough sliced chicken breast meat for 2 and a half servings !!!! - fresh shrimp rolls: they were fair. The rolls where too loosely rolled, and could have added some basil, coriander, and mint to them. Condiments aside from sriracha, fish sauce, hoisin sauce, also included maggi. I ended up taking half my dinner home in some take out containers. Will go again, if mississauga still allows dine in for the remainder of 2020, into 2021.
A restaurant with really good food. I liked it
Expensive for the amount of food you get. Spring rolls were tasty. Guy working the counter was nice though his coworkers seem mean. Food tasted ok, quality ingredients. Would not likely come back as it's not near me.
A little disappointed: When my friend and I arrived, there was only one car in the parking lot and it is 12:15 pm on Thursday. That's not a good sign. We order three dishes: Chicken Pat Thai, Spicy Beef with rice and Bun. Chicken Pat Thai is ok. Spicy Beef is under curry section in the menu and it does not taste like curry. Good portion of bamboo shoots, but only half a bowl of rice! The portion should be more if I am charged $16 plus tax! The Bun was a disaster: No grill marks on the meat, no pepper sauce on the side to add with the fish sauce and the spring roll is subpar. I like mom-and-pop shop, but this place needs some improvement.
Wow! Great service and better food. Ate here outside in May and the atmosphere was one of a kind. Made my gf very happy
Greatly enjoyed the fried calamari with their signature dipping sauce. The beef stir fry with steamed rice and vegetables is plentiful and delicious.. I also love their won ton soup, lots of ingredients. The place is clean and staff is friendly. Compliments to the chef. Will highly recommend.
I really enjoyed my meal tonight. I had the chicken peanut Curry. I would definitely recommend that dish if you're going in there. The place looks like it could use a makeover inside as far as aesthetics are concerned. The service was good and the food quality was also fairly decent, however it did taste in my opinion but the spring rolls were frozen.
