This little place is so cute. The old time charm is just adorable. I'm not from the area, I was visiting for work and I decided to stop in for lunch and I got a delicious burger with fries. The burger was very fresh, great taste to it. The only reason why I give it four stars is just that I wish they took cards. I embarrassed myself and had to leave to get cash from an atm and come back to pay my bill because I never carry cash on me. My fault, for sure, but it is convenient when places take cards for payment. Otherwise, great little place.
Great food. Love the atmosphere. The epitome of a neighborhood bar. The bartender/waitress is supernatural. I've never seen her with a pen or pad of paper. She never gets my order wrong. I go there once or twice a year and she remembers exactly what I want every time. Incredible.
Straight up hometown bar. Burgers come with chips, had the bacon cheese and a side of curly fries. The bartender was personable, may have been the owner. Pricing not bad at all, two burgers fries and drinks we're under 20 bucks. If I had to use my best judgement I would say they are frozen patties and pricing is right on par with schlenker's which I prefer for the fresh beef.
Talk about a hidden jewel. You won't think of such clean and cool place from the outside. Don't let it keep it from coming in. This is your regular neighborhood bar, with good fries and hamburgers, but their chilli is the best in town and reasonable prices. The decor is full of baseball memorabilia.
Unless you are a local client don't go. My friend and I sat down with only one table and two people at the bar. We ordered simple food ,a burger and a sausage sandwich w/ fries. 3 other tables that showed up after us ,got served before us. The food was so so. Don't bother.
I've only been here once. Just got back from lunch, there. My take: it's an old fuddy duddy bar. Old pictures, articles, posters on the wall and ceiling. I mean old, many stained, so are the ceiling tiles. Service is S-L-O-W. They do not multi-task If you are picky, impatient, or don't like being around old men don't come here for lunch. If you're not picky this a good place for a beer and a burger. The regular burger is 1/2 pound of ground beef. I had a plain cheeseburger. It had a good flavor, was a little dry ie very little fat/no grease, and no gristle. Just good quality ground beef. My wife had a pepper burger with ketchup and mustard and her girlfriend had a cheeseburger with onions, ketchup, and mustard. They both loved their burgers and could only eat half. Both immediately said they'd like to go back. Next time I'll get ketchup & mustard on mine.
Tracy's Bar & Grill has been serving the Jackson area since 1986. Their signature menu item is the 'A-Burger,' a char-grilled burger patty topped with thinly-sliced ham, cooked to order; their jalapeno 'Hot-Burger' is sensational as well. Another impressive menu item is their 'BLT from Hell.' It consists of One Pound of bacon, cooked to order, along with the requisite lettuce & tomato served club style. It is an amazing sandwich for all the right reasons. Their weekly lunch specials are, "Taco Tuesdays,' Coney Dog Wednesdays,' and 'Chili Thursdays' featuring 5-7 alarm house-made chili. Their beer selection is typical of a smaller tavern, their wine selection is small, their liquor selections will satisfy everyone. Their service and attention is outstanding!
Best burgers in town, owners are wonderful people.
Cash only so be prepared but the food is worth it. They have some great lunch specials. I especially like the half lb coney dogs on Wednesday.
Great food. I think the best burgers anywhere. Their prices are also reasonable too.
