Torch Pressed Sushi

First bite on torched salmon press sushi then this place shoot straight up and landed on my top five Toronto favorite restaurants. The phenomenal salmon box #2 has the appetizing presentation, ingredients freshness, texture variety, fragrance, and in perfect portion. Highly recommend this box. Waitress is friendly and patient as I took forever to decide on my selection. The staff do chat a bit amongst themselves in their work area. Then the place is clean, but maybe the store has just received it’s shipment cause there are paper boxes laying in and around kitchen area. This place for me is a definitely worth revisiting every few weeks.

The sushi here is very good. Everything was delicious from start to finish! They only let you order through the website, in which you have to create an account and put your card information in - this I didn’t like so much. I liked how they made their packaging eco-friendly

We ordered online for pickup and had a great experience. The food was ready on time and staff were organized when giving it to us. We also appreciated the packaging for the food and the way it was arranged in the bag! We all loved our food! I had two veggie handrolls and was content with them. The sushi rice had a great flavor and having the avocado plus cucumber was refreshing. I enjoyed the crunchy cucumber and creamy avocado combination. The matcha cheesecake was delightful and was a great way to finish off my meal. My two cousins both had the tasting box and loved their food. They had no complaints. We’ll definitely be returning!

Friendly staff. Convenient to-go boxes. About 10 places to sit. We were the only ones in and had to wait around 5 minutes for food to be cooked 2 people. Some of the salmon sushi are amazing, others were ok. The rolled sushi from the combo sushi was falling apart. Miso soup is delicious, cheesecake is average.

So good!! I didn't realize that they close early or earlier than the hours listed on Yelp. When I got here, they were out of most things. And also closed. They weren't set up for dine in, rather take out atmosphere. Mostly boxes. Since I've walked from my hotel Park Hyatt, it was a good 25-30 minutes walk, I asked if I could dine in and get whatever they have. They let me. That was nice! Some of the food I've had! Tasting box: Torched spicy salmon torched scallops Torched eel Zesty shrimp Marinated butterfish Lobster handroll Toro handroll Torched eel standout as well as scallops. Everything was tasty but I enjoyed the toro handroll. I ordered, ate and left all under 15 minutes or so. It was a fast dash. Took some Togo. Food was delicious though. Next time, I'll come during the day for lunch. And hopefully before they ran out of everything so I can try more items.

Picked up a tasting box to go so that I could sample everything. It comes with 8 pieces of torched pressed sushi, a lobster handroll, Toro handroll, seaweed salad and edamame. My favourites of the eight were zesty shrimp, fantastic four and Hokkaido scallop. I liked the toro handroll too but wasn't a fan of the lobster one which was mixed with some other seafood but the flavour was mayo heavy and lacked the distinct lobster sweetness. Some of the torched pressed sushi wasn't pressed that well and broke apart but the flavours as a whole are pretty good.

I’m a montrealer, we have great food trust me, but Toronto make the best sushi. This place really blew my mind for a take out experience. I wish they would export their wonderful creations to my city. There’s not one bite I didn’t absolutely adored. Price is fair for the quality and work put in each piece!

Great idea with the tasting box. It was nicely presented with good flavours. Wish the sushi could be a bit bigger. Not a made in China packaged wasabi fan. Can't figure out how to open the lobster rolls properly and they became a mess...

Cute packaging & great flavours. Each piece had a distinctive flavour profile - couldn’t decide which one I liked most! This is a good meal for someone who wants a little bit of everything. Doesn’t look like a lot of food but you’ll be surprised how filled you can get.

I have been here for dine in before the pandemic and also gotten delivery, recently ordered the Tasting Box. Amazing presentation and fresh sushi.
