Home style Japanese cooking that fills you up! The portions were quite generous. The takoyaki was not as flavourful as I was expecting, however, this is a great place if you're looking to get a quick bite to eat.
Small cozy restaurant hidden on a side street with amazing sashimi bowls at reasonable price. Although the fish were cut a little more thin, it remains really fresh. I guess not to expect too much given the price. Will definitely go back to try their cooked food next time.
Stumbled across the cutest little Japanese restaurant with very reasonable pricing and sizes. The attention to details in both the restaurant and menu items were identifiable. Would love to come back to try their other items. Pictured here: Scallop & Salmon Don
You can get a variety of Japanese dishes from udon to curry to katsu to tempura. I had chicken nanban which is pretty good. I have a strong impression of the rice. It was well made and the rice kernel is very plump and sweet.Food: 4/5
Katsu was not as good as my previous experiences in other Japanese restaurants. Also the side was small. The salad was not fresh at all. The rice was also sticky. The price is affordable, and in my take-out order, I found the staff hospitable.
A very warm restaurant serving Japanese don/noodle and bento. I really love the shrimp tempura there, tasted good with curry rice! The staff was very welcoming. But I do hope the restaurant can change the takeout containers to some more eco-friendly materials. The styrofoam box is not the best choice
The food was amazing and it is truly value for money. The ambience eas very cozy and casual. My only suggestion would be if the staff could be just a bit better with English, it would make reservation and ordering process easier. We ordered the dango for dessert which was so unique and tasty, i would recommend it. The staff is very polite and very accommodating of all dietary preferences and restrictions.
Tokyo Kitchen definitely has a warm home-cooked meal feel to it. We went here for dinner and got: - Salmon Saikyo Bento: While the salmon was a bit small for the price, it was grilled to perfection. Side tempura had a good coating-to-shrimp ratio and sashimi was fresh. - Chicken Karaage Curry: Good fry to the karaage tasty and not oily, super generous curry sauce. Added cheese and it helped break up the monotony. - Mitarashi Dango and Kashiwa Mochi: Loved these sticky desserts. Both were chewy delights. Prices were generally reasonable. Service was friendly and quick. Place was spacious and well lit. My wife loved it so much she got salmon ikura donburi delivered the next day which had a generous serving of salmon and ikura. So looks like we'll definitely be coming back for more!
The food tasted great and the portions are filling. We got the chicken katsudon, curry chicken, California roll, and korokke. I wasn't a big fan of the korokke but the curry was great. The staff were also very nice and the atmosphere was great. It was very homey and I enjoyed my time thereFood: 5/5
Tokyo kitchen is my go to for homestyle Japanese food. The food is very hearty and relatively inexpensive. Tucked in between a GreenP parking lot, the restaurant is decently spaced and has a to go section before you enter. I always get the tendon and the croquettes here and they never disappoint.
