Kintaro Izakaya, located near Church and Wellesley brings the authentic Japanese tapas experience to the door steps of downtown Toronto. Our specialties include a wide range of yakitori dishes (Charcoal grilled skewers), ramen bowls and traditional Japanese appetizers that perfectly accompanies our extensive drink selection, including our famous Polar Beer. Stay at our sake house to be immersed in the atmosphere with great conversations, food and drinks!

Never have had a bad experience. Food was ready in less than ten minutes! It was discounted for phoning in the order, always nice to have a reasonable price. The staff is always sooo kind too, and the sushi is EXCELLENT. Really fresh and unique, definitely a good choice. We will order again soon!

Love the ramen! Beef rolls,black dragon roll, spicy salmon crunch are a must-try!

Great quality sushi in the downtown area. Limited vegan options for sushi rolls. Could use a larger variety. The avocado and cucumber roll is my favourite. The croquettes although not vegan are also delicious. Highly recommend! Will be back soon for more high quality sushi!

Great food great atmosphere and great service. We live nearby and Kintaro is our go to Japanese. Dined in a couple times before which was great but their takeout now is amazing too. Fried chicken is still crunchy when you get it home. Nice selection of things on menu that's not just sushi

Awesome service!  Lively atmosphere as an Izakaya should be.  Great attention to details.  Highly recommended.  Stairs to and downstairs washroom, so unfortunately not wheelchair accessible.  Very clean facilities. Great for a cold beer with a few friends.  Dinner menu also available.

Went on Sunday September 27. Food was good ate a skewer and japango roll and some other stuff. But I absolutely hate it when he dropped the plate onto the table and just walked away. I forgot his name, but was a chubby guy. It’s like how I feed my dog. Thanks for making me feel like my dog. It taught me to treat him better.

I love this place, first dine in Izakaya joint. There were 3 of us who loves to eat, we didn't drink nor having dessert because we were to stuffed. We were the first customer, I love the sushi because the rice was at the right temperature. Butter fish, ebi and other things weren't on the picture but highly recommended.
