Amazingly godly food No SMG which is a bonus Ask for combo menu Con: Be prepared to wait for one hour for the first dish to arrive. So reserve 3hr of your time.
This ranks as one of the all-time worst restaurants I have ever been to. After ordering, 20 minutes later we were told that the order hadn't been entered. In that 20 minutes nobody thought to check on us. All that was on our table were cups and a pitcher of hot water; no bowls plates or chopsticks. When food came out it was agonizingly slow. We must have been there for 2 hours - during lunch and we were on our way out the door before they placated us with some dishes arriving. When we left patrons that had been there before us was just receiving their final dishes. We only left before them because we packed all our stuff to go. It became humorous to the point that it became a self serve restaurant. People from all the tables started to refill their tea by themselves. They were waiting at the kitchen window to take their dish back to their table. This is what my mother-in-law did at the start when we only had cups after 20 minutes. No tables were cleaned in the time we were there - see pictures. Some cooking staff came out from the kitchen to grab some dirty dishes because they ran out. I could only prey they would wash them first. What upset me was that while putting on my coat I accidentally dragged my sleeve across a dish full of chilli oil on the table behind me. At 2 hours, I had had enough and put on my coat while my family was packing the leftovers - no way we are paying to have food thrown away; we were raised better than that. The fastest thing that came out this afternoon was the bill. And on top of that, they declared that they already added a 10% after tax tip for our table of 3 adults and 2 small kids. Oh, it's a restaurant review. I should say something of the food. Most dishes were too salty for my taste. Peking duck was fatty and skin was not crisp. Dumpling were not impressive - and came in different sized steamers at different times for the same dumplings because they ran out of the same sized steamers. All I can say is - good luck staying in business if you think you can get away with this kind of quality in Toronto.
This restaurant is just opened and I got a flyer from them. I came and tried the SP9 with Hot and Sour soup, and BBQ lamb. It was GREAT! Willing to have lunch in the rest of my life! There are also lobsters and crabs, hope to try them next time. The restaurant is besides Sleep Country and there is Dollarama and Pizzapizza, not hard to find it.
Food was good, and portion was good too... but the experience was ruined by a LiVE cockroach poured into a cup from the tea pot at the beginning of the dinner. We just ordered and was considering leaving immediately. It was disgusting watching the cockroach moving in the hot tea.
I would give this place a zero star if I could. The food was not good, service was horrible. We had to get our own plates and napkins. Dishes in our 10-course meal package were replaced without us being informed, with the order of dishes all mixed up. There were long wait times in between dishes. The next table sat with just their teas for over 45 min. Empty plates were not cleared off, they simply shoved the new dishes on the side, or placed on top of empty plates. We had to empty our own lobster shells to have a usable plate for Peking duck wraps! Soup came last alongside dessert soup which was strands of egg in cornstarch and sugar water, with one bowl given per person. We had to clean off the soup from our bowls before we can have our dessert soup, 'enjoying ' it with empty plates, lobster shells, fish bones...etc piled in front of us. At times we felt like going into the bathrooms to wash our own dishes! I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.
I should have read the reviews before heading there...... I bought a coupon, so the price was good25 for 3 fishes. Taste is ok, portion is good, had some leftovers to take home. Service was good, except for an elder female waitress. She was a bit arrogant...... one of the options for the combo was not available, and she thought it was our fault so we must pick another one ... One very unpleasant point was that, the cups. Ya, strong bleach smell so I couldnt drink the tea at all
I don't like food, service and everything. Plastic cup has so much bleach smell , can't drink the tea. No wonder not many customers. Especially, chief must to be cover their hair when they cook.It is common sense. But no one cover hair, even I saw chief has long beard and cook for customers. It was disgusting.
They set dinners are very. The spicy and sour rice is excellent. However, the goat rub is bad. The steam on photo is a little bit strange. I've never eat steam egg like this. When it came out, I thought it was a bowl of soup.
I would give zero stars if I could. I found a hair backed inside of a leek pancake!!!!! Plates and chopsticks were dirty and in general place looks like nobody takes care of cleaning. Very difficult to communicate without knowing Chinese language. Very bad experience.
I had the worst dining experience at this restaurant. The service is so bad that they treat their client with no respect. We waited for 50 minutes and they told us they didn't cook. The only dish they delivered after such a long wait is nothing but ordinary and poor.
