A great place to stop in for a lunch! Dog friendly patio with loads of seating. Would recommend the chicken strips as they are fresh and battered to order! The burger was also good

I am in town for business and I was looking for a place to get some comfort food. The Tide and Boar was within walking distance from my hotel and it looked to fit what I wanted.nnI came early for dinner and was greeted warmly and seated right away. I saw the v seafood chowder on the menu and asked about it. I was told it was a meal itself and was really hearty. The server was NOT kidding. A huge bowl of chowder was brought to my table with a thick slice of bread with butter.nnIt was absolutely filled with lobster, mussels, shrimp and more! It was so good and really hit the spot. I was really full when I left and completely satisfied!

Enjoyed one of the finest burgers I have ever had! It was their burgerfest competition entry, and is a hands-down winner for me. It was the cheddar sauce that sealed the deal. Service was awesome, friendly and prompt. The atmosphere upstairs only hints at what's downstairs... An overall treat to spend an afternoon in.

First time here and due to a recent fire menu was limited but it certainly didn't disappoint. I've never in my entire life had chicken wings that were as good. Also split a charcuterie board with my partner and the menu said lighter fare but the serving was more than enough for us to split. The waiter was excellent and his recommendation for a choice of craft beer was spot on. I'd drive here from outside Halifax anytime. Oh those wings..
