The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Moncton

Great evening once again at the Keg. Atmosphere was good, the food is always great. The Prime rib can't be beat. Good selection of cocktails and Wine and the free ice cream cake for your birthday is delicious.

An incredible treat! This restaurant is where it’s at if you want to treat yourself to a little luxury and a delicious meal that holds up to the hype. The sesame tuna tartare was absolutely delicious, and one of the best we’ve had anywhere. The mushrooms Neptune was creamy, warm and cheesy, the perfect appetizer for a snowy and cold night. But the showstopper was the steak. It was one of the best steaks I’ve had in a long time, and the pairing of the mushrooms, garlic mash and bordelaise was incredible even the vegetable that came with it. I can honestly tell you I’m not a fan of beets and I know I grimaced what I saw them on my plate, but they were delicious, I never knew a beet could be SO good, honestly changed my whole view of them. It was an awesome night and our waiter. Heather was so kind and courteous and knowledgeable. All in all it was a perfect evening. We will definitely be returning to the keg soon.

Why only one star? Because the short girl from the reception managed to destroy our experience with 'you will have to wait 20min to be seated' despite claiming this location has a seating of several hundreds of people.nnWe came here only because the amazing receptionist at the hotel above it recommended this place and even after waiting, we were seating in a room which was only a quarter full.nnThis place wants to be on par with London, Paris etc judging from the dimmed atmosphere and dark walls which just allows you to see your food, yet delivered burnt steaks after waiting 30min, based on the timing of my pictures, during which the only loud talk being heard came from this simply massive server who should have known in such places, being quieter is only polite. Clearly this is lost in Moncton.nnUpon leaving, the small receptionist did not even say 'bye' to me - surely she has issues. People like her make an experience great or not.

We usually have a good time at the Keg Restaurant known for the great service and food. We've decided to made a reservation for a special occasion that I did specify when i did the reservation. We were expecting I nice cozy ambiance. When the server lead us to our table, she gave us a table at the bar section. It was not a good ambiance at all for an engagement celebration. I explained the situation and the very young lady told us it was the same everywhere in the restaurant. Sorry....but we went to Keg many time and there are section a little more private an cozy ambiance. I would suggest to pay more attention to the request that your client are asking. Unfortunately we left and went to another restaurant.

Good meals! Cons: little dark in the room when all of us Deaf had a bit of a hard time to see our sign language. Overall the waiters tried their best to change the bright light from dim for us. It was ok as long as we enjoyed our dinner.
