Thunderbird Lodge

We've stayed at the Thunderbird several times and like it a lot. It's not fancy but it is clean and reasonably priced. Breakfast is simple but does the trick. If you're passing through, this is a great place to stay.

We had a good stay here. I liked it that the heating/AC was above our bed in the corner of the room and not at bed level. The room was more than adequate in size, had a refrigerator, and was clean and tidy. The breakfast was modest, but good and we slept well on the bed.

We were just stopping in Mitchell for the night and didn't want to spend a bunch of money just to sleep. This place was perfect! It's not one of those nicer hotels where you will pay double the price, but it was extremely clean and quiet. It is licallu owned so you will support a small business. They have cereal, breads, juices and coffee for breakfast. I would reccommend to anyone who is looking for a place to crash for a night or two. Oh, and the guy that checked us in was SUPER friendly and nice!

My husband and I stayed at the Thunderbird Lodge on the way to the Black Hills. We were so pleased with the cleanliness and friendliness of the personal that we decided to stay at the same place when we came back through. We were just as pleased at that stay. We would give the lodge a very good rating.

The rooms were clean and reasonably priced. The staff were all very nice. They had a small breakfast with options like bagels, donuts, cereal, juice and milk available. We stopped there on the way to Rapid City, would definitely stay here again.
