Hampton Inn Mitchell

This location is under construction as of 9/22/2017. Had an issue with my room. Management resolved perfectly. Stayed here for the entire week. Very friendly and attentive staff. The location is not as bad as some previous ratings would have you believe. I would totally leave 5-star but the construction at the location is frustrating. Convenient location off of I-90. Food and gas nearby. Ruby Tuesday is walking distance and has very friendly staff also.

Staff was awesome and professional, and the check in process was very expedited. Rooms were spacious and the amenities were plentiful. I would highly recommend!

Our room was fine, typical Hamton Inn room. We had issue with loud contraction workers that were working on the building. They were playing music and would not turn it off when asked to by the staff. The staff was not so accommodating to our needs. Other than that, it was a fine stay.

My stay not very good. Put on end were reconstruction is being done. Looks like building could fall down on this side. Besides that room smells like smoke. Place doesn't look booked so besides all that put us next to people that has a crying young child and it is 12:35 at night. Child I understand but parents are louder than child. Very loud. I think they think they are the only one in this hotel.

I have stayed at this hotel a couple of different times. It's a fairly new hotel, and both times I found the rooms clean and the staff helpful. I often travel with my cats, and I search specifically for pet-friendly hotels. It's a delight to find a hotel that is comfortable for me and my pets. However, when I went over my credit card statement, there was a fifty dollar charge added. When I followed up, I was told it was because there was a cat in my room, and that they found "evidence" of it. Of course they found evidence of it; I wasn't hiding anything. Apparently if you go through Hilton Honors to search for pet-friendly hotels, even though it says it is, this hotel is not and is willing to make you pay for their mistake. After speaking to the manager, it turns out that the hotel is only dog-friendly. Keep that in mind when you travel with your pets.
