Thierry is simply my favourite place is downtown. I go there on a daily basis but I never get enough for it! It is the best of the best in pastry! Excellent atmosphere, lovely music, elegant decoration and representation, excellent quality, high end pastry and huge selection of chocolates, cookies, cakes, macaroons, drinks, all kind of deserts and lovely stuff that your heart wish for! Thierry is simply addictive! It is suitable for groups, for dates, for special gatherings or even to hang out by your self. They have a heated patio too. Quite good number of table but still always busy because people simply loves it! And my favourite part that they close late 12am! Not like most of the pastries and coffee shops in Vancouver which close very early!!! It is a self service so you order and then you pick your self the order which is the comment way is most of coffee shops or pastries and also they don’t provide parking unfortunately but it is the case for anything else in downtown Vancouver. Finally as an honest advice don’t bother your self trying anything else just go Thierry and spoil your self you deserve it.

Great night out! We had Macaroons and Chocolate-dipped Citrus Madeleines and they were amazing! Also love that it's open till midnight. Great service. Great food. Will definitely return.

My customer experience was really awful today. Since my birthday is approaching, I planned to visit the cafe for an afternoon tea to celebrate in a quiet atmosphere. Initially when I came over, it's around 2:30 and it seemed to have vacant seats in the patio. But after ordering I found there's only one small table vacant without any chair. I had to leave the food out there and look around for a chair. I even asked an assistant to see if they had an extra chair, unfortunately he said they don't have extra ones. Because the latte had been lukewarm and it's inconvenient to take away the food, I remained standing for a few minutes and finished the cake and drink with mixed feelings. As I was eating, the same assistant came to outside for cleaning tables. He noticed there's a vacant chair at next table, so he asked the customer if he'd use that chair. Obviously that customer was waiting for his friend. In their conversation I heard he asked the assistant why he needs the chair. Then the assistant replied to him, "...to show mercy on her..." Though I understood the assistant tried to be friendly with empathy, I still felt uncomfortable at that moment. I paid the full price for consuming right there, so it's not a matter of "mercy" or not. Understanding and coordinating customers' needs are basic elements of good service spirits, so how to arrange tables/chairs in a reasonable way is supposed to be a part of the management's consideration. I hope your team can genuinely care about customers' needs and put responsible service attitude into practice, instead of "showing" anything. I was gonna rate it one star, but in regard to the dessert (pistachio cake), I added another star.

Amazing quality in everything they serve. Price follows the quality. Nice atmosphere to go with a date, or business. Not the kind of place students bring a computer and focus studying for hours on. There is a bit of a line sometimes which is still reasonable.

Thierry is a cute little coffee/dessert shop. Excellent tasting desserts! Yummy drinks. Good customer service. Definitely a must visit when traveling through Vancouver!
