Not what it used to be. Very disappointing after supporting this venue and their bands for many years. Wanted to book a Birthday Party on a Sunday afternoon. No Reservations on a Sunday during music. I get it. But there seems to be something amiss when lots of people have made reservations for the last couple of weeks for Birthday Parties. So, I can only conclude that some receive preferential treatment or the owner has no idea what goes on while he's away. We will still attend on occasion to support our friends. However, we will be looking to other venues that have consistent policies for their events. While I'm sure this fixture of The Wortley Village will carry on fine without us, it is a sad end to many years of faithful support.
Cool experience, nice servers, they have fans, good bathrooms and great shows for dancing.
Sadly, there are no more options to rate cause the bartenders would get a 5 stars, but the lineups are really bad... I had left a few times because of that specially in winter... But aside from that it's a great bar
Music was great, however it was very, very crowded. The nachos smelled great, but we couldn't get a table and we went elsewhere to get some food & didn't stay very long.
My girlfriend and I are young — and everyone here is middle-aged — and that's my favourite thing about Wortley Roadhouse. The bands are always top-tier, and they have Creemore on tap. I haven't tried the food yet but it always looks and smells great coming from the kitchen.
Really really cool and vibrant place to get a beer on a Saturday night. It was very busy when we went, but the staff was very friendly and courteous.
It's been a while since I had been to the Wortley Roadhouse. I found it was just as good as I remembered. Great beer selection, food was hot and tasted great. Our server was polite, quick and competent. All good!
'The Groove' played a late Sunday afternoon gig 3-6/7pm at The 'Wort' and got the place into a Boogie frenzy with their bold disco sets, the beer was cold and the girls were friendly. Quite the end to the weekend.
Not a huge selection of beers on tap, but they have decent live bands and the service is actually surprisingly good for a bar.
Honestly you have check this place out...I haven't been to many bars since the Covid started and was told to go and see the bands. I was amazed that people in 50's and 60's could mesh with the younger crowd and the bands I've seen. The bands really got us dancing with the music they played and interaction from band members..Oh ya another awesome bonus is good food at at good price...Get there early because just before the bands go on it gets busy with a line up. I'm 55 and very comfortable going to The Wortley because I know that all the ages of people I've spoken too are amazing regulars and it just makes for anyone in doubt to want to try this awesome place do it with no hesitation...Thanks for an unforgettable night.
