The Woods at Bear Creek

Wanted to book my wedding here. Unfortunately, due to turnover I ended up working with multiple people and had to re plan details three different times. I went to visit a few months after booking the space to show my parents the venue, I was asked to leave without seeing the venue. The staff was very rude. I was spending all of this money here and on the way out I experienced an angry employee, tailgating and beeping at me in a service vehicle all the way off the property. My gut was telling me to RUN, that this was my wedding and this was not what i signed up for. My fiance met with coordinator for a one last shot to work out the details and she was also very rude, we live 2 1/2 hours away from The Woods, so my fiance met Barb halfway only to be told "that there is nothing she can do". Why we were asked to drive all that way for one sentence I will never understand. The final straw was when they ended up getting our wedding date wrong in an email, I had lost all faith that these people could actually coordinate a wedding. I requested to terminate my booking almost an entire year early, and requested that I get my deposit back which was denied, I understand the point of deposits and that I decided to cancel, but I felt that re planning my event over and over again was not apart of our contact. Come to find out that there was an event at The Woods at Bear Creek the exact SAME day that I had booked and they STILL refused to return my deposit.

“Good for Family Trip” Pending review Just spent a weekend here for family reunion. The cabins are clean and tidy. The restaurant food was excellent and the staff were friendly. The reception staff were helpful. The zip line crews were excellent and funny. We had a lot of fun playing the zip line. Too bad it was raining at night and we missed the campfire. Sure will go back again. Isabella

The owner is ruining this place!! It's like a nazi camp. Kids getting yelled at for stupid stuff. We've stayed here before and it was great!!! We loved it enough to come back this year, but probably not again. We had water flooding out the Pavilion and their maintenance never showed for and hour so I took there tools and built a trench along the whole pavilion to divert the water. Then their maintence shows up and explained how I did it and what needs to be done to prevent future issues. He looked at me with blank eyes and just says "yup" and left. You can't even start your own fire pit!! It MUST be done by the evening Security personnel. Then we got yelled at for parking our good carts under the GIANT Pavilions because it was pouring rain. SPEECHLESS.

When the owner told us its muddy, he wasnt lying. Lots and lots of mud. Did about 13 miles of trails in 2 hours. 30 bucks to ride all day. Great time.
