The Windmill

The service was not very good. I was given the wrong steak, the waitress argued with me about sending it back. Them she returned with the correct steak that was cooked wrong. I sent it back. I waited everyone else was done eating. She brought it back out, it had not been cooked longer and was cold now. I gave up. The side was literally four stocks of asparagus. The dinner Salad was nothing more than iceberg lettuce on a plate with one cucumber slice and two grape tomatos. I never got refill on tea water without asking. My son ordered the chicken he said it tasted like ash. I will not be going back.

Great service. Laurie the bartender was amazing. She gave us the history of the company and owners. Very cool. Great food and service!

Can't beat this place for a variety of great tasting food options and friendly service. I was taken there recently to celebrate my birthday and felt treated the entire time, even though we didn't tell them it was my birthday till the end. Great wine selection and decently priced. Not a bad choice on the menu, you just might not be able to finish it all.

We love their food. I've never had anything resembling a bad experience until today, but I feel it's less a matter of whether or not mistakes are made, and more a matter of how a place recovers from them when they do happen. I ordered the Windmill Mac-and-Cheese with crab, the Chicken Tenders, and the Mill Burger (all outstanding), as well as a couple of desserts, all to go. The restaurant was extremely busy when I arrived to take out my order, and the hostess stand left a couple things off by accident. I called and spoke with Felicia, the front manager. She put me on hold for a couple minutes, spoke with the hostess, and came back on the phone with a plan to put everything right within ten minutes. Great food, great service, and fantastic ownership of customer service issues. Stop reading and go!
